SawyerK with the Spartans defeated Aetius39 leading the Kyrenean Greeks by a narrow 62 to 44 score (4 points to 2 points). Aetius should have earned three points but one of my routed units rallied on the last move.

For the Spartans the key was using Massed Peltasts to anchor their left wing on a forest and to gradually move through the wood to win that flank. That was needed as the Greeks were crushing the Spartans right flank and punishing the center with multiple attacks by Heavy Chariots. This was a very close game and if the Spartan Veteran Hoplites had disrupted earlier under the Chariot attack, the win would have gone to my opponent. Thanks for a well fought match!

A well deserved 3 points to Speedy who hung in to the bitter end and very nearly walked away with the 4 points. Great use of the terrain to keep his force in the fight. The numerous spear force managed to shut down the Bosporan Lancers. Ultimately it was down to the loss of two skirmish units bravely taking on a Lancer in rough ground that finally tipped the scales against the Thracian army.

Please note I will not be accepting any challenges in this league until late March at the earliest. I will be on vacation (yes again) and must focus on some other games

This section is for 300 BC only, only with armies overlapping that year. There are two other sections though, one for 900 AD and one for 1140 AD.

I've updated the spreadsheet with this game and once it's concluded the challenger (anderarcos11) reports the result in this thread, I'll update the spreadsheet with it (giving you the points you're entitled to, based on the results), and switch your armies so that anderarcos11 will get Greek 460-281 BC and angusosborne Seleucid 300-206 BC.
