While setting up a practice hotseat game for Round 2 of the ‘Hundred Years War’ tournament, I have noticed that the deducted cost for the infantry units of the French attacker in the ‘Own Side Defending’ scenario appears to be three more than the listed cost. For example:
Crossbowmen, listed cost 41, deducted cost 44
Brigands/Ribauds, listed cost 30, deducted cost 33.
To my cursory investigation, this only seems to be the case when the defender gets field fortifications, so I would suggest that the enemy units are also being charged that additional cost.

Strange. I have just tested this both in Hotseat and in actual MP, and the correct amounts are being deducted.GentlemanRanker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 10:04 am While setting up a practice hotseat game for Round 2 of the ‘Hundred Years War’ tournament, I have noticed that the deducted cost for the infantry units of the French attacker in the ‘Own Side Defending’ scenario appears to be three more than the listed cost. I've also just tested it, and it's only the defending infantry that cost an extra 3 points, as it should be.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:11 amStrange. Re: Cost of enemy infantry in ‘Own Side Defending’ scenario
Interesting, only me then.
I first observed this problem yesterday evening, and upon restart of my computer this morning, across several restarts of the program. However, I did not see it just now, when setting up my initial turn as the French in a practice game with ahyuton; and upon returning to the Custom Battles screen, which retained the details of that matchup, the problem had cleared.
To check, I restarted FoGM once again, setup this matchup in Custom Battles, and the problem was reproducible – Crossbowmen costing 44 points. So it would sem to be a problem with my computer configuration. Intermittent software anomalies eh? Gotta love ‘em.

Please save a HotSeat game in force selection when this issue is occurring. If you .ZIP it first, you can attach the save here. (It will be the most recent .LSF file in Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlorMedieval/SAVES)GentlemanRanker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:13 pm Interesting, only me then.

It occurs to me that I been insufficiently precise when specifying this issue, my apologies. I never got as far as creating the hotseat game, the problem is observed when trying out possible force selections using the Army Options Preview screen. Screenshots available if required.

Ah, right, that is an entirely different matter.GentlemanRanker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:27 pm It occurs to me that I been insufficiently precise when specifying this issue, my apologies. I can confirm that you are right, and this issue does occur when previewing the enemy army list. It does not affect the cost of the units in the actual game.
Thanks for pointing out the bug, which I have fixed for for the next update.
