Cannot Install the 1.5.40 Update!

Hi, after a pause of playing FoGII I downloaded it anew on my new laptop. Installing 1.5.12 went without problems, but auto-update doesn´t work, get error message. Manually installing 1.5.40 also doesn´t work, because the update installer demands the name of the "new product" to install together with the serial number, but there is of course no new product, it´s a damned update!
HELP!

Update on the Update: I installed the 5 DLCs today and tried installing the patch again. This time it worked!

Apparently the problem with the patch exists only if you have the base game with no DLCs installed. I would still look into it if I were you, any new customers trying out the base game will likely not be happy not being able to install the patch.
