FoG Tournament at Cancon 2009 (Oz)

Post by rossco »

Hi folks.

(I've edited this post so it contains the official details.)

There will be a Field of Glory tournament at Cancon 2009.

Dates: 24, 25 and 26 January 2009 in Canberra, Australia. Usual venue.

Army choice: one list of 800 points, drawn from any FoG book of army lists published prior to 1 December 2008.

FoG rules as per the rulebook, with official FoG errata and FAQ from the Field of Glory website.

Figures based for 15mm scale. Base depths will not be enforced, so troops that can either be medium foot or heavy foot don't need to be rebased. However, you must clearly tell your opponent at setup what the troops are.

Two games per day over the three days. Start at 9am each day, so please be present for roll call and the draw at around 8:30am.

Scoring is the 0 to 25 system as per the Field of Glory website.

Game duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes, plus some random time.

Players provide their own dice and share them with their opponent.

Players provide their own terrain. I'm providing a prize for the best 15mm ancients tournament terrain, which can be commercially made or home made.

Playing umpires will be Ross Dawe, Mark Mann and Anthony Winter.

Entry forms can be obtained from the Canberra Games Society from October onwards.

Entries must be in by Friday 2nd January. Late entries will suffer the usual penalty of being displayed at the venue.

We have trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus there will be a team trophy and a prize for best painted FoG army, plus other prizes. I would like to thank Slitherine and Osprey for donating prizes for this tournament.

Please note that the winner of the 3 day 15mm ancients tournament with the largest number of entries will be the Australian Ancients Champion for 2009.

Regards,
Ross Dawe.

Update.

Posters on the Oz_FoG Yahoo! list have talked me into making the Cancon FoG tournament 800 points instead of 725 points.

I will post the full details here once they have been finalised.

Regards,
Ross Dawe.
