The Panzer Corps 2 - World Championship moves into the fifth round today.

This round, we have a special treat for everyone - a brand new and never before seen map, The Siege of Leningrad. Study it carefully, as the battle you win may be your own.



Will you break the encirclement? Or simply hold the line?



In leaderboard news, PlannedParenthood drew blood from Kleko11 last round, but it wasn't enough for him to secure a victory. Nevertheless, another 3000 point Kleko11 victory was prevented and now around 1000 points separates the top of the leaderboard.

AFK Players
We have heard your feedback about AFK players and have taken action this round to remove those that have not played in the last 2 rounds. We hope between this and the scoring system, there will be a lot less chance that an active player will face an AFK player.

As always, we are improving the system based on your feedback and the data we collect on our side.

The "Review Battlefield' button is broken or glitched. After you press review battlefield you cannot proper end the battle, and instead receive this loop error. "Uploading the game" Request Failed Challenge already finished instance already finished. You have to alt-f4 to close the game, no other method will work.

Would it be possible if they can take a look at the panzer corps 2 servers and logs to fix or complete this loop?

I was not accrued to the tournament table of victories, glasses for the remaining moves and glasses for the destroyed units in the last go in both scenarios.
For the first time in the scenario for the USSR, I did not know that the points in the tournament table would not be saved and did not remember the exact amount. I remember what was more than 1800.

I also won both games against a tough opponent. Both games ended in the error message mentioned above. I didn't count points but it looks weird to me. My multiplayer games always end up with this error message. It seems the support needs to act urgently here.

To answer your question: Nothing - sit tight and wait for next round...
Until formal bans or manual point assignment rules are in place then that's pretty much all you can do. (also, sorry it happened to you - been there as well...)

Sorry couldn't help myself there. On a more serious note, it could be that there will be a solution in place but so far no one affected seen any extra points so we gotta sit tight and wait for an official reply.

Fritzchen owned me turn 2 as the attacker. He took the last vic hex in the middle with a recon on probably last mov point
I messed up the defense and never thought he could strike that deep

Result: TEN POINTS for TURN TWO VICTORY as attacker
So the man is down ~ 2000 points + BS from last rounds

We immediately switched to another game at our WG club after that round, you know - a game where MP scoring works - huge disappointment to all
But Edmon made it abundantly clear - no complaint and competitive spirit is allowed in this tournament
They all accepted that rule and laughed (not about the rule of course, just to OBEY)

According to some good sports here from past round when I lost 2000 points in addition to hundreds points in earlier rounds:
All just a game and for fun, no prize to be won
I wonder why so many now complain when they are the ones faced with a penalty? Come on, don't be childish
Just enjoy. Its just half a year .. grow up and realize: Life goes on forever.

Speaking of the "real no1", I wonder how these guys got to have such big a score? I mean they had to meet players so bad as to give them a lot of points, but yet so honorable as to not quit, keep playing and also allow them to get the last hex in the last turn? Where are these players, I want to meet them too... In this torunament it doesn't feel like top10 players are good, but lucky some planets aligned for them, because if scoring system worked ok I should easily be top3. So yeah, i can't say I enjoy this tournament much, even tho I enjoy the game and I love playing competitive. A kiss of pain suits the description more, indeed.

On a side note you mentioned something about a WG club? What is that? I am looking to play against good players, any help with this is much appreciated.

I've already thought about the high scores. How and with which strategy do I get these values. I really liked the stream from a432. I'm now contemplating a win in Round 3.

Mate your not alone of 5 rounds I have had two players quit mid round when I was getting on top of them so I am ranked down at 106. My opponent (this round Conman Legend, previous SSIGeneral) also gets to continue pursea which is nonsense.
I had a wonderful opponent in round 3 who gallantly battled on and lost and last round I hamoeragged 3900pts to 200 v Nutoha who thrashed me (better strat. defnitely better rng). Did I want to hit the surrender button, yes, could I no. Did I quit...no, did I think about yes but didn't want to short change Nutoha so played on and learn heaps for future rounds.

So if you languishing in the cellar perhaps we might meet then we can have a full game...wouldn't that been a novel experience in this event.

AN UPDATE JUST BEFORE I POST THIS I SEE MY OPPONENT RECEIVED 99pts and I 1901 for last round. While not the full score I could possibly I have achieved it goes someway to nullifying the insidious play of "quitters". Thank you organisers, if that was you who did this.

In my last game the system recognized my opponent as a quiter - it has a T near his name in the score board - but I only got 1000 pts for attack, my german defense is left with 700 pts from what I was able to get in the few turns we played. I wonder why...

When will the investigation be completed and the points earned in the 5th round will be credited to us?
Due to a failure of your system, 2044 points were not credited to me, which is almost 50% of what I earned in the 5th round. They credited 2170 instead of 4214 earned. I have screenshots that can be used to restore points.
How can the tournament continue with such system failures?
