Hi all,

It is great that Panzer Corps 2 moves to the Pacific theater. That said I am a huge fan of the Axis Operations DLC series and cannot wait for the new DLC to be released. For me, I won't start with PC Pacific without first finishing all the Axis Operations chapters. It would otherwise feel a bit like starting a new season of a television series whereby one has not yet finished the previous season!

So, any news related to when the next installment in the AO series will be released will be greatly appreciated :-)

Patience is an attribute... a virtue... that comes with the passage of time... and usually puts you ahead of many of lifes anxieties.

'Joke'... 8)
"You know!... I have lot's of patience :D … do you know why???.... that's because I never use any of it!

Food for thought- a full year before PC2 was released I asked in the forum what might be holding it up, and a dev said creating the campaigns was causing the delay.
So to speed up the basic game release I suggested releasing PC2 without the campaigns but with just a few standalone scens, then releasing a 'PC2 Campaign Pack' DLC months later.
But my suggestion wasn't taken up, so we had to wait another year for the release which included campaigns.
Regarding Pacific War, I now suggest exactly the same thing, namely release it now with a few standalone scens, then bring out a 'PacWar Campaign Pack' at a later date..:)

Yaaauuuhhh!!!... Ist Goot!... Ist Goot!... I really like your proposal "PoorOldSpike"... this way we can all play it, praise it and or criticize it... make recommendations and or changes for improvements and so on... so that when the final version is ready to come out... whatever imperfections or delinquencies there could be in the Game, can then be rectified for the final PacWar Campaign Pack release.

I am wondering if DLCs for Pacific can even be done? Unlike MASSIVE European theater, there were a handful of island battles. So unless you want to have scenarios with objectives like 'Capture those 3 palm trees', land DLCs will be a stretch...
On the contrary, marine DLCs would be fun, but I am wondering whether PCII engine / game mechanics supports naval battles well enough to make it fun.

"Vorskl post"_ 'I am wondering if DLCs for Pacific can even be done?'.... "Hear Ye!"... "Ye of very-Little-Faith... to practically No-Faith!"... where is your faith???... Yes!!!... Ok!... there were not that many 'Islands'...which is true!, however!... the taking of those 'Islands'... was not some short-lived... do it quick... "Mickey-Mouse-Affair!".

I can see those 'So-Few' "handful of island battles"... taking up a lot of Scenarios!... eess-not-problem!... Komerade!.

Not only that!... but this?... so called... " Unlike the MASSIVE European theater"... 'thing?'... this European Theatre is really 'a Negligible'... almost "2nd-place-thing" according to the 'SIZE' of the 'Pacific-Theatre',... as its not just inclusive... of only the 'Islands... and Island Chains' in the Pacific... but also encompasses... 'Korea'...'China'... and even to some degree... 'India'.

Lastly!... but!... not least!... are also a few 'Hypotheticals' that can be thrown in... such as the Japanese capturing and holding those Islands or even those areas on the Asian continent that hold considerable quantities of Oil, Strategic Metal Resources and so on... and even finally the 'Invasion of the U.S.A [Several Times Larger than all of Europe combined ].... and this U.S.A. invasion... perhaps can even originate from the 'Hawaiian Island Chain... where that location could now be a formidable fortress.

If you are 'Lacking' in 'Imagination', there are those others... who are not. This 'Pacific-Theatre' Campaign can only be restricted by those who develop it... not of those who can envision its full-potential.

I would say, just on my own say-so... that there could easily be 150-200 Scenarios in this Pacific Campaign Endeavor.

The Pacific War wasn't all about island-hopping, for examp Matrix's excellent 'Order of Battle' DLC's contain 59 Pacific scenarios covering not only islands but the western Pacific mainlands too-
