I am really glad to read that you enjoyed the campaign so much.

Multiplayer battles? Well, no, that's not planned, I'm sorry.

I am really glad to read that you enjoyed the campaign so much. You know, bringing a relatively unknown part of history to life is also what motivated us.

ColonelY wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 7:15 pmThis story takes place in the late stages of World War II. It features the Senegalese Tirailleurs, French colonial troops mainly from West Africa, fighting to liberate a homeland they have never seen before.

We do have Tirailleurs units that appear in several scenarios in this campaign.![]()
Hello, happy New Year! I hope now we will see the French army in all its glory, and not just what Call of Duty shows us %)
About the fact that when the French army liberated Paris, they withdrew all the black troops? YES, indeed, we have already talked about that too.terminator wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 4:03 am Has anyone talked about this in the Free France Campaign ?

There was a lot of work in terms of historical research to build this campaign. After that, it was also a matter of not adding TOO many elements either, so as not to outshine the action that we wanted to maintain both challenging and entertaining.![]()
Here, for example, we have at least these two campaign events:
Blanchiment 1/2
"On De Gaulle’s order, in a process called 'blanchiment' (whitening), many colonial troops have been sent to the rear to make room for untrained FFI irregulars. The colonials had once made up more than half the manpower of the French army; now that share will decline to about one-third. This change will bring thousands of Resistance fighters — many of them communists — under military control. It is being done for discriminatory and non-discriminatory reasons."
Blanchiment 2/2
"The original African recruits have suffered heavy casualties and are worn down by years of fighting; conscripting more is not practical. Colonial troops, many ill-shod and still wearing summer uniforms, are unsuited to Europe's winter climate. De Gaulle wants to nurture French national unity and not all elements of French society are comfortable with black soldiers. Lastly, France should be liberated by metropolitan Frenchmen, not by its non-white colonial subjects."
