Dinari

It seems to me that accumulating denari is a slow process, which is likely meant by the programmers. Is there a method of garneishing more dinari from a battle that I might be missing? Does the pillage rate for dinari increase as you progress through the campaigns?

Right now, I'm in the 3rd Samnite War and my army composition is:

Militia - 3
Skirmishers - 2
Scouts - 2
Nobles - 2
Hastati - 2
Aux. Archers - 2

I have spent dinari on weapon grades, etc. Is there a way to trade fame for dinari? I guess I should read the manual, but I hate reading pdfs.

Also, I noticed an empty circle above the fame/dinari icon and the recruitment icon. Does this serve a purpose sometime in the game?

Dinarii is fixed per battle. It's all set from the data files so can be tweaked if you want, but there are no mechanics to allow you to earn more.
