Allies Defiant Ships

When playing Allies Defiant, I get my troops to the coast, load them on ships, but the ships do not leave the board. No matter what I do , I can't get them to leave. What do I do?

if the ships are suppose to leave the board which I assume is the map you put them in an exit square

Notice though there are two types of exit hexes 3 have a square thing and one has an arrow these I think are different types meaning one may be for ships and the other planes ya gotta figure that out for yourself woo hoo ... Im not sure which is which then also it depends on what side your on meaning it may work for the enemy but not for you .. finally the exit icon is at the TOP OF THE hex so put the unit UNDER the icon in the hex woo hooo
