Ok here is a screenshot it shows I am looking at Captured Equipment ...
so it shows I have 2 slots in core area and 2 in auxillary I am thinking Auxillary slots have nothing to do at all with captured equipment have red the manual cannot find anything on it though I saw something on captured equipment but cannot find it again .. anyway ..
Ok so it shows captured equipment I can get and ones I cannot get because of slot availability so I could put some units in reserve to free up more slots right ??? then I could buy some of the other captured stuff that is not greyed out right ...
Main problem though is when I get a unit such as I Purchase a Recon unit when I do this it shows up NOWHERE why does it not appear in my core force so that I can place it on the map if I have open slots and I purchase a core unit it shows up so that I can place it on the map ... Thanks ..

Re: Need help with using Captured Equipment I'm to stupid to ...
I finally figured out my problem ... first of all my problem was when I clicked on a captured unit I could not deploy it even though I had enough slots and prestige the reason was because I did not have enough of that unit captured I re read the manual it reads:
Captured equipment is saved,
and if enough of it is accumulated it is possible to build new units using the
enemy’s weapons in the Purchase Screen. To do this, you need to capture
enough strength points of equipment to form a new 10-strength unit (for
instance, if you wanted a German KV-2 unit, you would need to force the
surrender of ten strength points’ worth of KV-2s from the Red Army, which
would likely require the surrender of several KV-2 units). Such units require the
surrender of more of that type of equipment in order to receive replacements.
BECAUSE I AM SUCH A MORON THE MANUAL WOULD NEED TO ALSO STATE SOMETHING SUCH AS. ((( THE NUMBERED OF CAPTURED UNITS YOU HAVE ON ANY TYPE IS SHOWN DIRECTLY BELOW THE UNIT NAME IN THE CAPTURED UNIT SCREEN - AGAIN, THE NUMBER MUST BE 10 OR GREATER FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO DEPLOY A CAPTURED UNIT IN ADDITION REPLACEMENTS ARE LIMITED BY THIS NUMBER TOO.))) Instead the captured units are highlighted or greyed out according to how much prestige and slots one has which IS ONLY PART OF THE ABILITY TO DEPLOY A CAPTURED UNIT one must also pay attention to the cute little number inbetwixt the dashes Furthermore a greyed out unit does not necessarily mean you cannot deploy it - for example if it had 10 or more units of it - a greyed out unit only means you do not have enough prestige and or slots which also means a highlighted unit does not mean you can deploy it it only means if the unit has 10 or more captured units you can deploy it so a highlighted unit means noting either unless you have 10 or more of them.
So I have played all of the Poland 1939 Campaign from the original stand alone game and have played many battles in Spain add on and now I finally understand captured equipment even though it both campaigns I could see many units under captured ...
