Erratic Mouse
Is there any reason why my mouse becomes very skittish and erratic when in FOGII medieval? I am using a Mac Book through Parallels. I have isolated the touch pad.

Re: Erratic Mouse
I have a similar issue with a different game. Try using your mouse without a mouse pad. Strange, but it works for me.

Re: Erratic Mouse
Try hitting SHIFT+Q to check the frame rate. If the game isn't running smoothly then you can see that effect.
Alternatively, check whether there is an option in the system graphics card settings to reduce the number of buffered frames on the GPU.

No joy! .... I am afraid it is just the same, the mouse arrow is all over the place. Very frustrating!!!

Re: Erratic Mouse
When you hit SHIFT+Q what is the FPS value that is shown top left? If it is too low then the mouse will not move smoothly.

Re: Erratic Mouse
The FPS value fluctuates, but the mean average is between 15 to 18.

Re: Erratic Mouse
Below 30 is likely to feel quite sluggish. Try reducing the shadow quality in the settings, and reduce the AA setting, if it is not disabled. You can also reduce the screen resolution you are running in to improve performance.

Re: Erratic Mouse
hmmmm...... By closing shadows completely and changing the resolution (although no longer showing on full screen) and gaming in full zoom in I can get the FPS to between 30 and 45. I assume this problem is down to my graphic card? (Intel Iris 6100 1536 MB) running off a i7 3.1 GHz Dual core. Maybe I need to consider a stand alone gaming computer or just buy games aimed at Mac and not use Parallels. Discuss?

Re: Erratic Mouse
The GPU itself is the issue, it's just not very powerful. Parallels doesn't really effect the speed of the rendering. A system with a better video card will provide better performance. To give you some comparisons, the Iris benchmarks at around 900, while an nVidia 1080 (a standalone video card from about 2016) benchmarks at 15000, and a newer 3080 at 27000.
