upgrading to gold

I downloaded the update and applied the patch to the game icon on the desktop and nothing happened. Is there something wrong as to why it wouldn't do that? I actually have the patch on my desktop. Please tell me what I ned to do. I am anxiously awaiting to try this new version

You need to unzip the patch, then copy the files in it over those in the dir you installed the game to.

Not only did I do that, I put it on my desktop as an open folder and it still didn't do it

Where do I find the directory if it is not on my desktop?
Having this same damn problen with mt .dll with that stupid spartan game

It is the directory you installed the game to. Usually this will be something of the form Program Files\Slitherine\CEAW. Alternatively, if there is a desktop shortcut, you can right click it and select Properties to see the target of the shortcut, which should show the path to the EXE.

I want a phone number to call someone because I am not getting my answers. Sick and tired of how poorly this is set up. It should be real easy. You download the patch and apply it to the shortcut. Never in my life ever heard of such a complicated way to upgrade

This isn't a patch, as far as I am aware. It is a free upgrade for users of the original game to give them access to the Gold features.

Have you managed to navigate to the folder you installed the game to? That is the first step.

Is there supposed to be an automatic upgrade finder in the files? because I did that and it is downloading it right now, but the process bar isn't moving even though there is transferring of data.

So are you up and running now then? I'm not sure what the problem could be as everyone else is able to apply the patch.

Any issues with Conquest should be posted in the Conquest tech support forum as the developers of that game do not read this forum.

Also, please be warned panzers that I have been copied on abusive mails you have sent to other forum members. If you persist you will be banned. Any more swearing will also get you banned.
