Your mod scenario is crossed with a mod PAC , it generally looks great visually, but I really don 't know if the balance is off ....
In Operation Compass , my entire army was destroyed by the British hordes , but I was awarded the Victory . Is this how it should be ? For that , I can 't buy a new army in the next map ..

I played for the first two missions. Very good game design
The first mission is a kind of introduction, the second mission gets complicated towards the end.
To be continued...

Fort Capuzzo (03)
If I understand the victory conditions correctly, we must hold all the objectives with the no-core units and evacuate all core units to have a decisive victory ?

How to hold your positions in 10 missions and escape with someone else to achieve a "Decisive Dictory" !? Pictures and videos are only welcome ! ))

Just downloaded it. There goes my weekend (and I'm supposed to be working from home tomorrow...)
Re: Italy Corps-Afrika Korps campaign v1.0 (10/11/21)
no pb for me for the mission Fort Capuzzo, it was even very easy with some artillery and by just waiting them in south. ( i have not even used half of my troop in north)

Re: Italy Corps-Afrika Korps campaign v1.0 (10/11/21)
I noticed something strange in the Fort Capuzzo scenario. Each Strongpoint seems to have a Hero but the Unit details is empty ?
Re: Italy Corps-Afrika Korps campaign v1.0 (10/11/21)
Very nice mod. I had played a previous version of the Africa Corps campaign from the side of the Italians, I think from the same modder (downloaded from streitmacht, again I think). I had in fact created a monster hybrid campaign by joining it with bits of the Italia Victor. It is a bit of a Frankenstein, since there are different equipment files and some battles (e.g. Crusader) are represented by different scenarios in each mod. And of course by the time the fantasy scenarios roll by, my core is ridiculously overpowered to make even India a cakewalk. But it's really fun to play the Italians, some very interesting challenges: brilliant recon with the Sahariana, indifferent infantry, generally decent planes, horrible tanks, decent anti-tanks and SP artillery.
I played the current mod down to Alamein and kept the save as instructed. I played this with the vanilla equipment file which is very boring for the Italians, and of course now I have two "Italian" SE units (the Bf-110c and JU-87R) that cannot be upgraded. What I will do while the modder takes his time to create the fantasy branch is to add the post-Alamein vanilla scenarios to the campaign file and continue the save. Perhaps add a nicer equipment file for this branch.
Excellent work. It's nice to see mods still produced for PC1. I hate PC2, some of the worst money I've spent on a game, but PC1 is endlessly replayable.

The strongpoints all have a hero assigned, namely +2 spotting. I didn't attach a picture at the time. I understand it might be confusing.terminator wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 5:26 am I noticed something strange in the Fort Capuzzo scenario. For the next update there will be a proper hero picture.
Thanks for the feedback.

If you are interested in a bigger vanilla based equipment file, including additional Italian units (regular and Italian SE units), feel free to use the one i included to this reply.
Simply unzip the file into /mods/Afrika Korps campaign/data folder. The changes will kick in, after loading any savegame and reach the deployment phase of the next scenario; you can also start the campaign again from the beginning.
I added the two "Italian" SE units to compensate for the "limited" vanilla equipment file. It is a choice the player can make after the Germans join, you can delete an Italian SE unit and hope that a new German SE unit will appear in the next scenario.

You got a victory because there were no core units left. Obviously, this was not the intention, for a victory the player should evacuate his core units, not get them all destroyed.uzbek2012 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 1:07 pm

It is possible for a decisive victory though. Don't forget the Italians also have those fantastic switchable AA units! The DV should be hard to get because it is an unhistorical outcome.
Also because of your feedback, i found a couple of strongpoint errors which will be addressed in the next update.
Also thank you for the screenshots of your playthrough.
It shouldn't be a problem to use PaK mod or there must be some early war über-units in that mod

They are very talented , despite sometimes your alternative additions ) Your work is interesting and clearly done with a soul ! With the PAK mod, for example, a cavalryman can dismountnikivdd wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 9:53 amYou got a victory because there were no core units left. Now, I will patiently wait for your additional scenarios

Incidentally, have you or any of the other great modders thought of doing a French Corps campaign? Something like Mobilisation 1936 (for training for a Rhineland campaign that never happened-Saar 1939-Norway (limited core used)-bunch of 1940 scenarios from the 1e Armee viewpoint (so, perhaps March to Gembloux while the enemy air is battering you - Hannut- Retreat to the Channel (perhaps a couple of scenarios there)-Dunkirk Evacuation). Perhaps limit the player to no tanks up to this point, to prevent French equipment being taken to Norway or across the Channel. Then a North Africa campaign with British and eventually American equipment with a nice big Bir-Hachiem defence scenario, then up the Italian boot, then 2nd Armoured Division to Paris and into Germany. Could be fun, though it would mostly be with British and American equipment.

A Polish and a French campaign was discussed on several occasions in the last 10 years but nothing ever materialised.imp44791 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 12:48 pm

But who knows, Ainkatsiss began working on a French campaign. It is definitely something i will keep a close eye on.
