A freak result against a great player. A 1200 point game, with one third of the board sea, so a small area for fighting. The Anglo Saxon offensive spears got the better of the British defensive spears to such an extent they should probably be drug tested after the game. Morbio - Carthaginian 235-146 BC with Spanish (Iberian) 300-10 BC allies defeats tyronec - Syracusan 280-211 BC with Carthaginian 235-146 BC allies 62-51

It could have gone either way in the last couple of turns. There was a lot of manoeuvring at the start as Syracuse threatened the Carthage left flank, while Carthage threated the main Syracuse line. The Carthaginian reserves were sent to reinforce the flank while the main forces pushed forwards as Syracuse refused. Eventually the armies met on 2 fronts and fortunately for Carthage they beat the main line fractionally quicker than the flank collapsed. In the end it was down to rallies and cohesion rolls to determine the victor.
