Division A
CyberHetman( Ghurid 1100-1215 AD with Indian Hindu North ) defeats Triarii (Germans NW with imperial allies) 45:19
As my horses and two elephants were preparing to attack from behind removing the opponent's horses, the Germans Dismounted Knights were quickly eating my spearmans despite the uphill attack. This could have ended badly(especially since most of my horses decided to pursue the horses in the other direction) but my third elephant decided to fight with Dismounted Knights much longer than it should allowing attacks from the flank.

Kroche (Chinese 3 Kingdoms (Wu) 222-280 AD) defeated LunarFoxx (Chinese (Jin) 266-316 AD) 51-24
Jin cavalry were thwarted in their attempts to break the Wu line and the more numerous Wu infantry could defeat the Jin infantry to claim the victory. GG.

Holien - (Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC with Numidian/Moorish 341-56 BC allies) defeats sivispacem - (Spanish (Sertorius) 80-70 BC) 62 - 52
A truly epic struggle ending with 2 turns left. Hannibal just managed to hold on long enough to push the very tough Spanish over the edge. Hannibal lost two Generals in the fight but the Spanish saw their General fall to push them over the 2% needed to hit the 60% level. If it had gone on more turns Hannibal would have been in dire trouble but his light cavalry held back some possible flank attacks with their lives. Well played Sivispacem and a well deserved point as it could have gone your way... Hope you are feeling better soon...

Morat (Sarmatians/Germans) beat rexhurley - Arab (Bedouin) 300-636 AD 43-10
Sarmatians, after a very slow start in the league finally had their day. Fielding mostly horse they managed to fight the lighter Arab horse on a constrained area of the battle field. And they got lucky with the morale rolls - the Arab forces had very little that went their way at all.
Thanks to rexhurley for the battle: I'm sure he will have better luck in his other matches than he did here.

Morat (French/Vikings) beat ulysisgrunt (Andalusian) 40-0
French foot and horse managed to hold and then outflank the Andalusian cavalry before the Andalusian foot got onto the scene. The score in no way reflects the battle - the early stages of which felt very tense indeed.
Thanks to ulysisgrunt for the battle.

Giacofa93 (Picts with Irish-Scots) defeats paulmcneil (Byzantine) 48-22
The pesky horse archers were a nuisance as always, and won their skirmishes on the wings, but in the center the overwhelming push of the pict foot lancers agains their byzantine horse-mounted counterparts was enough to gain a hard victory.

Karvon - Tuareg 950-1500 AD defeated Garokan - Portuguese 1200-1319 AD with Berber (Marinid) 1244-1319 AD allies 59-22 for a 4-0 win.
My focus was on my right. A large rough strewn plateau ran along the right edge from about the center of the flank. A large woods on my right looked up at that. A pair of small hills lay a bit to the left of these woods. Beyond the plateau was another small woods.
I deployed my foot in and behind the woods on my right with my camel and horse lancers on and along the first small hill to cover the left of my foot. My initial plan was to push my foot up on to the plateau and deploy into the rough patches and woods beyond to threaten the enemy left. My camels would shift in behind the infantry and move to turn the enemy left and support the infantry defending the plateau.
The Portuguese deployed their forces in about the center of the field; a line of mixed spear and crossbow screened by lights and supported by a reserve of half a dozen knights. I proceeded to carry out my initial plan and the Portuguese slowly wheeled and shifted left to counter. My first wave of infantry got into position on the plateau without too much difficulty, but soon were under a pretty stiff attack by some of the enemy knights supported by infantry. Most of my camels and cavalry continued on the long ride around the enemy left, while one division of four lent support to the embattled infantry. The disrupting influence of the camels blunted the knights effectiveness to a degree vs my foot, but a couple of units caught in the open were eventually broken.
My supporting wave of foot move up and plugged in holes, flanked the knights and got stuck into some of the crossbow which began to swing things more in my favor. My mounted flanking attack finally swung into action and things went steadily down hill for the Portuguese from there, as we flanked several units and unleashed a domino of breaks after that.
