Nijis (Granadines plus Berbers) defeats Triarii (Germans NW with imperial allies) 47-22.

The battle quickly became a tangle of two very heterogeneous forces. Lady Luck weighed in when the Germans suffered a number of double-drops in very short succession, while some of the Andalusian units held position while fragmented for long periods of time. A charge of camels across the German rear, brought on when the dromedaries collided with some raw crossbowmen, was a turning point.

oscarius - Anglo-Irish 1167-1274 AD with Irish 1131-1259 AD allies beat Conteshard - Crusader 1155-1291 AD with Syrian States 1090-1286 AD allies: 43-17

A deep long gorge down the middle complicated the battle for both armies as longbow and crossbow viciously shot each other up. While Conteshard was close to a cavalry breakthrough with his knights having the better of it vs my cavalry, I had aggressively swarmed and destroyed his infantry (defending their side of the gorge but disrupted by the withering hail of my longbows) before they could come to bare. Well-played, it was a pretty nightmarish map for such a knight-based army but you put up a good show of it.

A great end to this round of High Middle Ages for me and has restored some of my confidence after my disastrous last tournament round in this section.
