Division C
Holien (Chinese (Han) 206-100 BC) defeated Dreddradish (Xiongnu 200 BC -155 AD) 49% to 19%
As mentioned by many others this is a tough match and Dreddradish did very well with what he had. A good Oppo and I will watch out for Drop Bears the next time I am down under...
Many thanks for the game and chat and Good Luck in your other games..

Re: High Middle Ages: winners post your results here . . .
Weekly round-up
ericdoman1 (Mongol Ilkhanid) is still the leader of Division A, now by 4 points from harveylh (Italo-Norman) who has played 4 matches fewer. tyronec (Aragonese) has also started well with 3 straight wins and is bound to make a challenge. At the bottom, the matches are starting to run out for desertedfox (German). In Division B Captainwaltersavage (Portuguese) is having a very good first season at this higher level and has 6 wins from 8 starts. His prospects of gaining his first automatic promotion to the top flight have been helped by a first defeat for TaBai (Mongol Ilkhanid). oscarius (Anglo-Irish) is third. A second defeat for leader GDod (Andalusian) this week has tightened up proceedings in Division C where newcomer rpadilla1988 (German) is starting to look dangerous in third place with 3 wins from 4 starts. It is between Kerait (Ghurid) and Blagrot (Berber Murabit) in Division D. Kerait has 7 straight wins so far and Blagrot 4. At the bottom, both Tratmot (Mongol Europe) and General Shapur (Crusader) desperately need wins in their last few matches to avoid the drop. GraftMalt (Ghaznavid) is waiting nervously, having finished on just 11 points for the season. In Division E, it looks like 33 points will not be enough for Rosedelio (Ghurid) to win automatic promotion as Quivis has secured his eighth consecutive victory and now needs just 2 points from his last match against heidipie (Berber Almohad) to take the top spot. At the bottom, Lannes (Byzantine) needs 6 points from his last 2 matches to avoid getting the wooden spoon.
Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
tyronec (Division A) 3 matches
lunecastle (Division B) 3 matches
Delbruck (Division C) 3 matches
Blagrot (Division D) 4 matches
Kerait (Division D) 7 matches
heidipie (Division E) 3 matches
looping (Division E) 6 matches
Quivis (Division E) 8 matches
Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 20 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 27 out of 45 matches completed
Division C - 20 out of 45 matches completed
Division D - 39 out of 45 matches completed
Division E - 38 out of 45 matches completed
These are very good match completion rates.
Player of the Week: Kerait (Division D) with 3 wins this week to extend his unbeaten run to 7 matches.

The second Time Control check is now completed
The second and final Time Control check will take place at the end of next Sunday, the half-way point in the tournament. The target for you all is to complete 3 matches in each section of the tournament that you have entered. Whereas the first check was primarily aimed at identifying anyone just sitting in the tournament doing nothing much, this second one focuses on those players who I feel may have taken on too many matches and will not be able to finish them by Sunday December 12th. I have to say that there seems to be a few candidates, particularly in some of the A divisions, even though I feel that the overall situation has improved from last season.

sivispacem is currently in hospital, but should be home again later this week.
Edit: sivispacem is withdrawing from Early Middle Ages Division D, but will be continuing in Classical Antiquity and Late Antiquity. His place has been offered to DocVanNostrand.

Division B
devoncop (Parthian250-225AD with Saka Allies) beat batesmotel (Roman285-312AD with Arab Bedouin Allies) by 60-40%
A tough fight on a largely open map with some small wooded areas, though with a mountain range in the Roman left centre which had open ground around it. The crux to the battle was the Parthian flanking move around this range which found itself confronted with Roman horse and Camel detachments ...as the battle swirled the rest of the front line was dissolving as the Parthians skirmished and the Roman foot and remaining horse disrupted the Parthian attempts through charges. Eventually the Parthian flanking force was able to prevail and then took out two light ballistas behind the Roman lines and attacked the rest of the Roman lines from all sides causing just enough casualties to win the game before it ended.
Thanks to my opponent for tough match in terrain that did him no favours.

I'm sure he is not aware that that was not a win. The 24 turns ran out, night fell...

Division D
DocVanNostrand - Thracian (Getae) 279 BC-46 AD with Dacian 50 BC-88 AD allies (1600) drew Bodhran - Bosporan 348-85 BC with Sarmatian 350 BC-24 AD allies (1600) 59-42
A real scrappy affair that was heavily influenced by the sheer number of units either pursuing or being pursued off of the map, never to return.

Cunningcairn is withdrawing from Late Antiquity Division A and Early Middle Ages Division A. Replacements will be announced as soon as possible. I am hoping that he will be able to continue in Biblical. I will confirm that as soon as I hear back from him.
The vacancy in Late Antiquity will be offered to dim30; and the vacancy in Early Middle Ages will be offered to MorkinTheFree.
