"We had a special suit for overcoming electrified barriers. It somewhat resembled a spacesuit - all made of copper wire on an insulating lining. You can get sick in the bitter cold, so we worked in it in turn. The OSNAZ man in this suit crawled first, so as not to burn if the wire was under current. But such places could be detected in advance - you see our soldier hanging on a thorn, all charred, so the wire is energized, and the insulators crackled."

You can read more about the costume in the manual of the military engineer of the 1st rank Baluyev. The suit was worn through a slit at the gate and was a frequent copper mesh in several layers. Another layer of mesh was sewn onto the soles of the feet so that it would not wear out so quickly. Mittens were made of a red copper mesh, as softer and having less resistance.

The principle of operation of the grid was as follows: the human resistance was greater than that of the wire, so all the current from the wire when touched went into the ground without causing any harm to the person.

As the translator is unreliable, I asked for the translation. Because the translator translated some stupid things to me and one word in this sentence means LIBERATION ???

Told you --> this (Вот, пожалуй, и все то немногое, что осталось в нашей семье от участия дяди Бори в освобождении Карельского перешейка от финнов зимой 1939-1940 гг.)
When I'm using google translator it sounds like this --> (This, perhaps, is all that little that remained in our family from Uncle Bori's participation in the liberation of the Karelian Isthmus from the Finns in the winter of 1939-1940.)
So I'm confused, the liberation of the Karelia? What kind of liberation? Occupation, annexation but not liberation.

And in Karelia everything is like Poland and Czechoslovakia in the Tesha region in 1938.
As I believe , and if I understand you correctly , then online translations are 90 % correct , the rest will be something that is not entirely clear , but logic will probably help here and in meaning . As far as I myself understood, Osnaz units were created in the Red Army (now it would be assault brigades and special forces units,) they were equipped with athletes and other professionals ) they stormed Finnish pillboxes and bunkers + went to intercept Finnish patrols and so on

In 1943 , the OSSB was created

Japanese bulletproof vests and body armor.

Well , there were also pilots )

And what does the Cieszyn district have to do with the Soviet aggression against Finland in November 1939? It was an attack, aggression, not liberation. Nobody had to set them free, as it is written in this article. Not only that, the aggression was preceded by Soviet artillery fire in their own village only to blame the Finns. I 'm just wondering what is the Tishin region of Czechoslovakia for you ? Or is this also "liberation" , or what is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the Bull ? ))) At the expense of Finland, it belonged to the Russian Empire (During the civil war in Russia, the "neighbors" seized the land very well) and they were offered a good barter of territories, but when choosing a war, we must remember that you can get in the ears.... And enough is enough, you start to stink of politics here again, and we just have a game and a mod!

agreed, if it keeps going off topic and Political then the Discussion will end with a locked post, consider this the last warning

if anyone keeps replying and carrying on and quoting Political Discussions or opinions of a Political nature, you will get a warning, if you have already have a warning, then you won't get another, just time off from the board or a ban depending on what admin decides
