Blagrot - Berber (Murabit) 1087-1147 AD beat GraftMalt - Ghaznavid 962-1187 AD 63%-49%
A disasterous start for the Berbers as their archer and spear line collapsed under the Elephants spun back as the vet spears did the same to the Ghaznavid archers, the rest of the battle was a tangle but the power of supirior spearmen and repeated light cav charges eventually won out. Thanks for the game, could easily have gone the other way

dim30 (Syracusan) beat kraff (Galatian) 64 -50
A epic game. Lot's of move to deal with the terrific elite roman legios, After the initial clash a lot's of flanc charges from both army and a very hard struggle between galatian warriors and grecs hoplites. Some last rear charges of the grecs cavalry save the day for syracuse but victory could switch side at any time. Thank for the game Kraff, and good luck for next game.

Kroche (German South-East 1200-1319AD) defeated Garokan (Portuguese 1200-1319 AD with Berber (Marinid) 1244-1319 AD allies) 57-28
A very close match where Portuguese took control of a wooded area and won the initial skirmish between the light troops. This gave the German's pause for thought before launching their attach to take the enemy held hill. Almost too much pause for thought as it wasn't until the final turn that German dismounted knights took the hill and secured victory - there was no time remaining for the Portuguese to claim the draw. Good game to Garokan as it was in the balance for almost all the battle.

sarmation (Armenian) drew with kraff (Visigoth) 54-37
very nice game and opponent
the visigoth choose a strong position near the rear battle age . i choose to attack on my right.
kraff skilfully redeployed in battle order and counterattacked.
then i chosed to redeploy most of the army on the other side of his battleline . the battlefield was the teathre of charges evasion shooting routs hand to hand.. the real chaos of battle.
thanks for the game

mh5064 (Macedonian 260-148 BC) beat Real_JT1 - Achaemenid Persian 480-461 BC 41-14
A battle fought in a narrow pass in the mountains. The defenses of the Persians could not do much against the Macedonian heavy troops. Well played General Real_JT1. Ad maiora.

Swuul (British with Vikings) beat carpenkm (German) 67-36
Again a hard fought battle. The german center occupied a low hill, but the british surrounded them from all sides as the german flanks began to waver. Finally the german position on the hill mass-collapsed as they were attacked from all directions, and panic spread amongst the troops. Until that cataclsysmic collapse the match score had been quite even.
Thank you for the game carpenkm!
Situation at the end: https://i.imgur.com/kF1tTnY.jpg
This match probably also is the last in my current run of matches won with the British-Viking army. 13 matches won in row now with this army, but it now seems the next match reported about this army will see it reported as a loss for the British-Vikings

Re: Any questions?
Hi,
player Lunarfoxx in Classical Antiquity, Division F invoking rule 4 has arbitrarily canceled the battle because it is unfavorable to him.("Rule 4 Match Players may agree to re-start a match within the first three turns if they believe the terrain is likely to produce a sterile match or a draw. The maximum number of re-starts permitted for a single match is two.")
Without having agreed on the thing and without having responded positively. I quote his exact words "I don't known about this terrain. I might wanna redo this" and then "I'll set up the new match. gonna redo it within the 3 turns cuz of terrain".
But the ground was fine for me and certainly would not have produced a drawn or sterile game.
He also benefits from having seen the composition of my army.
I wanted to ask a question about this:
Is this kind of attitude regular?
Thanks
Cheers

Re: Any questions?
No. My understanding is any restart has to be agreed by both players.
If I have this wrong and it can be done unilaterally then I have probably screwed myself a few times by not going for a reroll of the map
