Division B
ray552 (Chinese (Han) 206-100 BC) beat joggy (Xiongnu 200 BC -155 AD) 42-17
Thank you for the games.
I predict this Han v. Xiongnu matchup will produce overall a similar result to last season's Achaemenid Persian v. Median battles - interesting how the Han and the Persians came up with the same response to horse archers (which also works on medium infantry without comparable missile capability.)

oscarius - Anglo-Irish 1167-1274 AD with Irish 1131-1259 AD allies (1200) beat Morat - German (Imperial) 1200-1319 AD with German (N/W) 1200-1319 AD allies (1200) 72 - 34
A fairly straightforward match. My heavy weapons allowed my infantry to hold his dismounted knights for long enough for my cavalry to pull off a large flanking movement. Lots of rallies helped me as well. Well-played.

Division C
rpadilla1988 (German Imperial 1200-1319 w/SE German allies) beat GDod (Andalusian 1050-1154 w/ Berber (Muribat) allies) 61-46
Tough fought, terribly ruthless battle! Lots of hardened battle line stare downs with frequent down pouring arrows. Many medium foot and professional crossbows put all they had on the line for the victory. They took the hits so the heavier troops could complete their missions; Good game to GDod!

Badger73 (Carthaginian [Hannibal in Italy] 216-203 BC) beat gfs26 (Roman 105-25 BC) 62-58
A brutal back-and-forth match which went to the side that could rally more units and return them sooner to the fray.

devoncop - Parthian 250 BC-225 AD with Saka 300 BC-50 AD allies drew with Najanaja Roman 24BC-196AD with German Foot Tribes allies 105BC-259AD.....score 37-39
The Parthian draw specialists again built up a healthy lead as the Romans initially attempted to defend a large baseline hill protected by wooded flanks but as the attrition mounted the Roman General decided to launch a front wide counter attack which scattered and often caught the crowded horse archer ranks with their massed bow support. With arrows running out and no way of confronting the heavy infantry units of the Roman host the Parthians melted back into the hills as nightfall fell.
Congratulations to my opponent for a well timed counter attack in an enjoyable see-saw contest.

Fysh - German (Imperial) 1155-1199 AD (1200) beat LunarFoxx - Bohemian 1200-1319 AD (1200) 47-12
The terrain in front of my position was the only completely flat stretch of ground, so it seemed a 'fair' place to fight. My army waited while LunarFoxx did the honourable thing and descended the hill towards me. Unfortunately for him, as he approached, my crossbow men tore into his ranks, and some of his units were already in trouble before the battle began.
