The war-bands and supports had a hard time against unfavorable terrain and stoic roman defense. Thanks for the game BG.

Division B

devoncop Parthian 250-225AD with Saka 300BC-50AD allies drew with Morat Sarmation 25-375AD with German Foot Tribes 105BC-259AD allies by a very fortuitous 45% to 57%

Most of the battle the heavy Lancer swarm of the Sarmations chewed up the lighter Parthians in a fine demonstration of boxing in and destroying light horse by Morat. The game was only a % or so from ending about 2/3 through in the Sarmations favour but the few Parthian Cataphracts just held out long enough to allow sniping at the fringes to pick off enough Sarmation Lancers and German skirmishers to just keep the Parthians alive...Running shoes did the rest !

Thanks to Ian (Morat) for a fine contest.

A slow start in the top 2 divisions, but already there has been a significant result in Division A where tyronec (Syracusan) has beaten last season's champion, ericdoman1 (Seleucid). ray552 (Graeco-Bactrian) has gone to the front in Division C with 2 opening wins, while 5 players in Division D already have 1 win to their name. In Division E, Holien (Hannibal in Africa), markleslie (Antigonid) and sivispacem (Spanish Sertorius) have all started with 2 consecutive wins to share the top spot, while in Division F Rosedelio (Kyrenean Greek) has made a stunning start by already reeling off 7 victories in a row. olddog52 is in second having started well with 3 victories and just 1 defeat.

Dreddradish has reported a complete computer failure to me this morning, meaning he will be out of action for a while, maybe for as long as 2 weeks. I have OK'd him to continue in the tournament as he has only entered 2 sections and will have plenty of time to complete his matches. He will be PM'ing opponents that he has matches in progress with. I will not be accepting any claims for matches affected by this unfortunate development, so please be patient.

I already posted one result, but just to check I am doing it right. The victory percentages are the total losses from the final casualty overview screen?

No, they are from the final battlefield screen, top left-hand corner.

In Division E newcomer Lynx57 (Roman) heads the table by 1 point from angel42052 (Frankish) and SawyerK (Pictish) has started with a win. In Division F heidipie (Jewish Revolt) is the early leader just 1 point ahead of Vadim84 (German Horse Tribes). Both players have started with 2 wins.

Again there is not too much yet to talk about in Divisions A, B, C and D apart from Nosy_Rat (Viking Ireland) came out on top in the clash of the "big guns" in Division A beating ericdoman1 (Byzantine). In Division E Zawzgrzyt (Viking Ireland) has started well with 3 wins and is being pursued by Tratmot (Andalusian) who has won his opening 2 matches. Hari72 (Frankish) is the leader in Division F with 4 straight wins, just 1 point ahead of PewPewMeow (Rus) who has played a game more. gort7078 (Fatimid Egyptian) has also made an unbeaten start after 3 matches.
