Standard Wagons impact on % lost

Post by Warg1 »

I have read the rules on the Standard Wagon. My understanding is that if it is still alive and within the centre area and facing forward it reduces the % routing number. So just to be clear does this mean if I had say 20% of troops either routing or dispersed the presence of the wagon might reduce this to say 15%? And that modified percentage is that used in calculation of victory? ie if I am winning by 45% to say 25% without a wagon there is no victory yet as the margin is still only 20%. However, if I had a wagon and the modified percentage losses were 45% to 20% then I would have won? Sorry for asking what might be obvious but I just want to clarify the rule.

So if this is the case what is the actual adjustment calc for the % of losses for the presence of the wagon that has satisfied the location and direction conditions?

The Standard Wagon is treated as equivalent to 4 standard-sized infantry units for rout % calculations. So its actual effect on % losses depends on the overall size of the army.
