I dont think Afghan war is gonna happen, at least in the short term. It is an IMMENSE load of work, the Syrian campaign already it is time consuming.

Now, lets go back to the matter in hand.
More pics of upcoming release. The fight against the ISIL is going to be hard:

And heroes shall be needed:

More info to be announced soon.

A good selection Uzbek, and still something I periodically play, though I mostly prefer the ones with lengthier campaigns.

In this game it is not possible to show the participation of formations as fronts and so on, because in reality he is a peasant during the day , and cuts his heads at night ) Guerrilla warfare is very harsh and cruel !

The details of the use of the Great Patriotic War guns in the war in Syria are revealed.
The Syrian army was forced to use Soviet guns developed in the 1930s during the armed conflict. This is reported by the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland". We are talking about a 152-millimeter ML-20 cannon of the 1937 model and a 122-millimeter M-30 howitzer of the 1938 model.

As Russian military advisers noted to the publication, Syrian gunners call howitzers of pre-war development unsurpassed in their characteristics. "Given the nature of the fighting, Soviet howitzer guns and howitzers developed in the 30s may well provide the necessary support to the fighting troops," the authors of the magazine pointed out.

In addition, during the armed conflict, government units and allies occasionally used other weapons of the Second World War: Soviet 57-millimeter ZiS-2 and 76-millimeter ZiS-3, American 105-millimeter M101A1 howitzers.

The ML-20 and M-30 were supplied to Syria by the Soviet Union and used in local conflicts. According to open sources, in 2012, the government army was armed with several dozen ML-20 and M-30 units. In addition, there is evidence that these howitzers and cannons arrived in the Arab Republic from Russia in 2016-2017.

In 2015, it was reported that the militants of the Islamic Front group in Syria fired at the positions of government troops from a 105-millimeter leFH 18 howitzer, which was in service with the Wehrmacht. Most likely, the gun went to the terrorists from warehouses near Aleppo, captured in 2012-2013.

The fight against Igtl will require the return of military samples from the Second World War )

Same as all other ballistic units in the mod. Unfortunately there is no much I can do because of the limitations of the game engine.

In Update 1.6 we have a few UI improvments. Example: there are no more "duplicate" multi-role units in the purchase menu, instead you have the standard mode but a new "swtich" icon has been added to show the unit capability:
Image
It will also help during the game to easily identify switchable units:
Image
Something similar for the artillery and anti-air deployable units. Now, the purchase menu shows the deployed version so the player can properly compare the units stats:

Best reagards,
Akkula.

Yes, the topic is interesting, but usually the author goes to rest after the next release of a new version of his mod !He usually always does a titanic job of updating his versions.....

Update 1.6 will be relased soon.
Besides the new campaign, the update comes with the usual load of new units and graphical improvements.
Some new units include the M48 Patton (in service within the Greek Army), the special M8 AGS, the Romanian TR-85 and the Boxer recon variant:

Yeah finally. I got to admit I had to lock the scope of the mod, otherwise I just kept making new units and adding more stuff. The good news is that I already decided what to add for Update 1.7.

One interesting addition that we do have for 1.6 is AT support. So far, it does only applies to the good ol' D-44 85mm gun.
Basically it copies the support mechanics from PzC2: in AT mode, adjacent units will receive support when they are attack by units with hard attack values. In arty mode, the typical support we already know.
Image
Of course, the 85mm does not inflicts significant damage to modern armor, but still it does help to weak front assaults. 8)

Akkula.
