KV-2 Artillery Support

what is the range for its support? does it matter if its switched to Artillery Mode? does it need the AS Hero? I know AT in support mode will fire upon a target 2 hexes away. what about Tanks in Artillery Mode without the AS Hero and regular tanks with the AS Hero? thanks

Support Fire requires the supporting unit be next to the supported unit.
So a Stub3b[R=1] has the same support range as 105mm [R=3].

This rule does not apply to Counter Battery Fire, in which range does count.

The German infantry (1) attacks the Russian cavalry (2).
The KV-2 in artillery mode (3) provides fire support for the cavalry by firing down the blue arrow at the German infantry 2 hexes away.
