Campaign settings and achievements

Post by NoireBlackHeart »

As far as I know using console cheat commands will disable achievements for this save, but how about other campaign settings like undo limits and trait points? :D

Those have no effect on achievements.

Yup, as above.

Anything in the Options or Advanced Options is considered a legal part of the game system.
Cheat codes are really a byproduct of development testing tools and are designed to circumvent or change the system.

Thats one of the reasons why i would really like more and new achivements i.e. for the challenge modes on the diffrent difficulties and possible combinations of them. You can get them by cheating so this is something that might add some spice and fun (at least for players like me).

Interestingly the GOG version does not have any achievements so far, so it can be a playground for custom hero compositions. Not that it really matters to me, but an interesting thing nonetheless, and probably not a reason to get two if someone wants to have achievements on Steam and play with codes on GOG. :)

Thank you! One more question please: I'm using the SCW no AI allies mod from the workshop, does that affect the achievements?

As things currently stand, mods will not negatively impact achievements. So your achievement will still trigger.
