By the way, to explain what I was trying in that game ... I tried to withdraw the Papal cavalry from the left flank because, in my reverse game, they had been unlucky and only managed to get one marker before being overwhelmed.

I thought if I got them over to the centre, it might free up some infantry to form a rear defence. But like Baldrick's cunning plans, it didn't work very well!

Save to Slitherine - Scenarios folder - and then "Extract All”.
Then open the game, play new scenario, game type: custom scenarios, and the battle should be available there.
Beware that it should be played only hot-seat, and without fog of war or double moves.

Thanks for your quick reply. For the life of me, I can find no Slitherine-Scenario folders in FOGII. There is such a folder in Empires, but that doesn't seem to work. What am I missing?
