Names and photos of enemy heroes
Maybe it has already been explained before, but I would like to ask the developers why dont we see the photos of the enemy heroes in the cards of their units and often not even the name. Thank you

I'm not sure thats correct. I can't be certain and being a weekend I can't contact the team but I've just setup a random map using the heroic showdown special challenge .. all enemy recieve a hero .. and all the enemy units showed a portrait and name.GUNDOBALDO08 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 11:12 am Maybe it has already been explained before, but I would like to ask the developers why dont we see the photos of the enemy heroes in the cards of their units and often not even the name. So could you provide an example of where you're seeing this lack of enemy heroes? A save game with screen shots?

Enemy unit with a pre-set hero (not from Heroic Showdown) does not have portrait. IIRC all the lua scripts setting hero for them are not using portraits.Patrick Ward wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 3:22 pmI'm not sure thats correct. Then I'll have to pass that to the team as I don't know why that would be the case.VirgilInTheSKY wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:47 pmEnemy unit with a pre-set hero (not from Heroic Showdown) does not have portrait. Re: Names and photos of enemy heroes
The vast (overwhelming) majority of enemy heroes are not historical figures. De Gaulle was very different, and went so far as to get a special portrait just for him as 'tank commander'. Enemy heroes are generally assigned by the needs of the individual scenario, mostly to provide extra challenge and make particular enemy units notable so the player does not just fight and endless sea of 10 strength enemy units.
We also moved most enemy hero identification away from being buried in unit detail pages and show it more prominently directly on the game board.
Enemy heroes have...
1. Ribbon markers near their strength plate.
2. Often come with non-default camo patterns.
3. Frequently come with custom unit name strings.

Re: Names and photos of enemy heroes
Named units, especially, helped me to know deeper about the battle they appeared in. Thanks for the efforts.
