A wall of Huscarls met a wall of Veteran Arabs, the vikings grabbed a small hill on the right but were stuck against rough terrain on the left, unfortunately the arab Dailami, archers and bedouin foot were quite happy with the terrain and the cheaper arab spears were able to flank the hill, once the first couple of Huscarl units broke the gap just kept widening. ericdoman1 (Spartan) is the new champion of Classical Antiquity after klayeckles (Ptolemaic) suffered a third defeat in Division A this week. Either Geffalrus (Antigonid) or tyronec (Roman) will finish in second place. At the bottom Challenge1 (Hannibal in Africa) must get at least 3 points from his last match against klayeckles to avoid relegation at the expense of Morbio (Samnite). Nothing to report from Division B this week. Warg1 (Pyrrhic) has won automatic promotion from Division C after snooky51 (Roman) suffered 2 defeats this week. dim30 (Spartan) has finished second with the same number of points as Warg1, who he lost to right back at the beginning of the season. At the bottom TomoeGozen (Achaemenid Persians) must win his last match against Ironclad (Hannibal in Italy) to have any chance of avoiding relegation. He also must hope that fellow struggler ulysisgrunt (Thracian) loses his last match against snooky51. The relegation battle in Division D has seen a lot of action this week with ggarynorman (Lysimachid) and Blagrot (Roman) moving away from the bottom of the table leaving deeter (Seleucid) in the relegation place, just behind Conteshard (Armenian Tigranes). deeter needs to win his last match against tmac11 (Samnite) to avoid the drop, while tmac11 needs to finish with 6 points from 2 matches to take second place. Nothing to report in Division E other than a third win for Kroche (Seleucid) that keeps his slim promotion hopes alive. In Division F LindsayCole (Macedonian) needs 5 points from his last 3 matches to leave olddog52 (Thessalian) in the wooden spoon position.

Weekly round-up
A fourth win for Nosy_Rat (Pictish) in Division A makes him most likely now to finish second in Division A, while batesmotel is facing relegation after a fourth straight defeat. In Division B a win for lydianed (Palmyran) has moved him off the bottom leaving kraff (Sassanid) in the relegation place. In Division C snooky51 (Parthian) kept his slim promotion hopes alive with a fourth win from 5 starts, while defeats for deeter (Roman), tmac11 (Palmyran) and Ironclad (Kingdom of Soissons) leaves them all very much in the relegation battle. A win and a draw for sarmation (Sassanid) this week moves him to within 6 points of Kerait (Moorish), the current leader of Division D. A lot depends now on the outcome of the match between sarmation and Blagrot (Germanic Horse Tribes), who also can catch Kerait. At the bottom ggarynorman (Roman) beat bomber23 (Dacian) in the crucial relegation match, which means bomber23 now needs 5 points from his last 2 matches to avoid the drop. In Division E there were wins for angel42052 (Roman) and Spacemonkey76 (Palmyran) which moved themaway from the bottom of the table. LindsayCole (Pictish) is currently in the wooden spoon position.

In Division A harveylh (Andalusian) secured second place with his eighth win of the season, tyronec (Anglo-Saxon) will finish third. At the bottom a fifth straight defeat for Questar17 (Byzantine) means his match with Challenge1 (Viking Ireland) will probably decide the relegation issue. In Division B a first win for paulmcneil (Dailami) against fellow struggler kraff (Bulgar Danube) has lifted him off the bottom. ulysisgrunt (German) and lunecastle (Scots) are also still in trouble. In Division C a first defeat for Blagrot (Arab Conquest) at the hands of challenger snooky51 (Rus) means he must win his last match against General Shapur (Norman) to be sure of winning automatic promotion. If he slips up snooky51 could take the top place if he is able to beat both deeter (Byzantine) and Ironclad (Frankish) decisively. In Division D a fifth win for ilpars (Turkish) increased his chances of taking third place.
