Please devs read this !

First, let me express my thanks, for implenting the heroes die function so fast.

The problem with it: I wanted heroes to die, WHEN THE WHOLE UNIT dies only.

In the current system the heroes die like flies. In my new playthrough of the old grand campaign i have 3 dead heroes in the prelude campaign, BEVORE the war even starts !!! Now it feels like heroes die first, then the rookies and thats not good. I dont say, that you should cancel the actual system, but you could make it configurable for the players.

Dev for panzer corps are really good and do listen.

Been mentioned before some would like slider so can set to what you prefer. I would hope will we see change on this under next patch or DLC.

I agree with the sentiment that titling a thread “devs please read this” is not the right tactic. 1) people don’t know what it’s about when glancing at it. 2) when wanting to come back to respond it’s harder to find. 3) the devs literally can’t respond to it or they doom themselves to seeing these titles all the time.

I think is fine as it is unlike limited stock which is really unusable. You could argue the chance is too high but anytime I have lost a hero it was due being clobbered.

Heroes are wortheless with the current system. Every std. battle, can kill them. (for example a unit lost ONE health and the hero died...) So i prefer to sell them, that way they help me for sure. Have 7 dead heroes now, even one of the non std. heroes died. And its only danzig corridor...

ouch, I agree with the concept that if the unit gets destroyed the Hero goes with it, but it has to be destroyed or surrender, but the flipside is, you can blast De Gaulle to smithereens but can't capture him or his equiptment

Maybe before the unit was destroyed, the hero managed to escape (after all he is a hero)...

Ideally there would be a percent slider for the dying chance and a field to define, when heroes die. So everybody can make it the way he likes.

One thing is sure with the actual system: Wittmann will never make it to 43 and his tiger. I bet, he will die in poland. And bar too.

The dying chance is a good idea
