Re: Morbio has won Late Antiquity Division B!
Well played Morbio. A good army choice, a good doctrine and a excellent player.

Great result Ade. I don't feel so bad now. I'm in very good company. BW Ian

Division A
Geffalrus (Antigonids) defeats Stew101 (Etruscans) 46-11
From the chronicles of when bad ideas somehow work out: The Etruscans had a good position with a high hill on their left, a low ridge in their center, and open ground on their right where they massed cheap infantry and plentiful cavalry. My initial plan was to skirmish and draw them down off their slopes, but my skirms kept disrupting and failing at their one job, so I just said YOLO and charged. Only one pike was disrupted in the ensuing impact phase, and the quick application of a general kept that unit from disintegrating until some freed up cavalry could arrive for a flank attack. The rest of the pikes set to work stabby-stabbing the warbands and imitation legions, who got some unlucky cohesion rolls and started to fall apart. In the end, the pikes did an exemplary job in the center, while the flanks managed to "Not Die Quickly" enough for victory to be achieved.
Good game to my opponent.

A scroll was found in a leather pouch next to what appeared to be the remains of a horse and rider it was dated 22 june, we can't read the rest. One line stands out. We have had no news of this army till now and we have no understanding of how this could happen. God save the Empire!

Geffalrus (Tuareg) defeats nyczar (Germans) 51-24
Bit of a surprise to be honest. German foot knights are monsters in open terrain, so when I started with a bunch of rough ground and steep slopes to hide on, I was determined to set up camp and sit out a draw. Seemed like the smart play after I got obliterated going on the offensive against the Anglo-Normans and Berbers. But then I got bored and decided to see if I could grab the enclosure just below my fortress of solitude. Nyczar tried to politely inform me that those were his enclosures, but I ignored his lies. Small groups of units were fed into an escalating cauldron of violence, and somehow the Tuareg horde was able to get the better flank attacks and come out on top. On the very last turn. Because apparently most of my matches with the Tuareg go the full 24 turns for some reason.
And that does it for my experiment with a meme army in HMA. Thank you to all my opponents for some very interesting matches.
Final positions:
Bonus hilarity: "Hans, do you smell something behind us......?"
