Over strengthening

Yeah can not over strength late war but will meet units over strength. That said arty, bomber encircle and surrender works.

88s really want learn use next play through. Piatek 39 great place start training. There river with city victory points. I have 88 and infantry behind vp backed up arty. Tank move in finish if anything left. That mission alone get 2 88s to atleast 1 start. Arras in 1940 matildas make good target practice. Especially when they charge for your lines. Hide 88 behind tank so AI doesn't bring up troops next to your 88. On your turn move a tank out way move up 88 watch the matilda start crying. Piatek seen 88 no experience take 7 points of tank for max 1 loose. Trained 88 one shoot matilda or leave it with point. Saves using arty and bombs for other targets. Heavy KV tanks run out ammo and 1 shot surrendered easily with 88 yes can easily do with tank but have seen stubborn KV take few tank hits still not surrender.

Yes you will need suppress infantry in example city hex late war before hitting with tank or use grenadiers.

Cavalry are offensive but early war great way train up. Mountain troops great to.

Use large amount of arty but lot different sizes. 10.5cm great for troops. 15cm good all rounder. 17cm good for hard attack and so is 21cm. Rocket arty makes infantry cry. Mobile arty great for fast movement. Stugs great for suppression and have advantage of Protection over other arty.

That point it's all about learning what advantages each unit will bring to war for you and your style.

Air force often use tacs to kill tanks just don't use more then 2 ever. Bombers 2 enough but often only choose to use 1. Fighters depends on map some will need less then others. Issue isn't rain for day when get days and days rain. There is one scenario in gc where it will rain lot and if dont have right transports you might not get dv win. With tacs sometimes add in fighter/bomber or two can help clear sky's then kill stuff on ground. So not that don't like or use air force. Just easier less risk to not go to big. 88s and few mobile AA will keep enemy from been problem. Russian will get more planes and they get better and more tanks. Endless wave of abuse 44. 45 found easier then 44. 43 not to bad.

Heroes you'll get few fighters, tanks and infantry and couple of antitank units.

That said some best antitank will be Russian units you'll find. Few tanks too.

114 vs 120
114 to many used to update everything to best units possible which made things to easy.

120 was design stop people using all best units. Downside is prestige was given based on 114. So now 44 hurts as your not making and spend lot prestige. There nice adds from 120. I enjoy sometimes 114 so don't need worry soft cap.
