nothing you can do with that. just wait until it's over and you will probably be rewarded with bonus points....

"I Dare-Say!":
Unless there is implementation of a 'Game Management System'... that controls players that are inattentive or lax... as well as 'Penalizes' them... this will be an unending nightmare!.
The 'Price' will be a long line of serious-ardent players who will now become... 'Bleached Bones and Cobwebs' that will be dutifully standing in line... waiting for their counterpart adversary to appear... these anxious players will then rule the roost... waiting indefinitly... until 'Hell' freezes over!... for nothing to happen!.

When I hosted Combat Mission tourneys at Blitz, I mercilessly disqualified anybody who couldn't keep up, rather than let them slow us down..

Hail!!!... the "Host!" discovered in this "PoorOldSpike post!".PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 12:44 am When I hosted Combat Mission tourneys at Blitz, I mercilessly disqualified anybody who couldn't keep up, rather than let them slow us down..![]()
This "PzC2" Multi-Player-Tournament is in "Dire-Need" of some 'Professional-Assistance' [Expert!].
Since 'You!'... "PoorOldSpike"… have had an in-depth acquaintance with this sort of thing... please do consider making yourself available for this critical position. Someone needs to do it... and so far no-one else has had your 'Qualifications'... for the task at hand. This 'Multi-Player' situation needs to be properly 'Organized'... and set-up to work smoothly... like a 'Greased-Gun'... perhaps also including various types of incentives... to heighten the interest and participation of the involved players.
Now!... just for a bit of 'Fun and Humour'... .
The... "Definition" of an [Expert!].
Expert!:
"Ex"... stands for or represents something in the 'Past-Tense'... such as a 'Has-Been' [Who is now a 'No-Body'... a 'Nothing']… and a "xpert/spurt"... which is... a 'Drip under Pressure!'.

Incidentally, I never won any of my tourneys myself because I never took part, I was simply the host/organiser, then I sent the winners small silver trophies..

Well!... that's good enough... even at that... and besides... you also know the 'PzC2-Game' very well... so I would say that... that makes you 'Very-Qualified!'. If something of this nature isn't done [IE: Crises Management], then this 'Multi-Player' situation... is going to continue to be a shambling-mess!. Maybe?... the Multi-Player Cadre' group... will as an entity... petition for a change to regulate this ongoing tournament?. It's up to them!.PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 12:53 pm Incidentally, I never won any of my tourneys myself because I never took part, I was simply the host/organiser, then I sent the winners small silver trophies..![]()

Re: Tournament-opponent not playing
Problem is, I need to learn the PC2 Editor so's I can create a map for a tourney, which will take some time so don't hold your breath.
For example here's a link to one of my old Combat Mission tourneys at the Blitz club, I called it the "Green Light Tourney' and created a lo-o-o-o-ng map with the CM editor, the winner being the dood who could get furthest down the map without taking too many losses..

Re: Tournament-opponent not playing
I have posted on another thread about this, it is very disappointing when this happens, in the first tournament, i had it happen and no points awarded as far as i could see and again now , both games i have been hit by no shows they play a few turns then drop off .I would love it if the organizer would help stop this by awarding points to the person being let down. it seems that you get loads of points if no turns are played , but no extra points if your opponent is getting beaten badly but then stops playing.

One way to encourage people not to desert would be to award them a small "Tourney Competitor' cyber-medal to attach to their profile if they play through to the end (even if they lose).
I did that with my Blitz tourneys, scroll down about 6 posts in this thread to see the 7 medals me and everybody else got simply for completing each tourney..
