FoG:R beta tournament at Britcon 2009, August, UK
Britcon 2009
Slitherine is pleased to announce that the BHGS will host the first tournament using the new Field of Glory Renaissance Wars ruleset at Britcon 2009. The Rules cover land battles of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries in Europe and around the world. Players familiar with Field of Glory will find much that is familiar but new and the period-specific features and mechanisms give Field of Glory Renaissance Wars a flavour all its own. The rule set is still being developed and this competition offers a unique opportunity to have your thoughts and ideas incorporated into the final rules.
The tournament is open to beta test players registered with Slitherine Software UK Limited. If you wish to enter and are not yet registered as a beta test player for Field of Glory Renaissance Wars, please visit http://www.slitherine.com and for details of how to become a beta tester.

If you have heard nothing then it would appear that you were not selected for the beta.
You can, however, sign on for the Britcon beta competition which will mean signing the NDA and then receive the stuff at some point in the future (don't ask me when but it'll be well in time for Britcon) ...

My note - this is a real solid development.
There should be a lot of feedback from a tournament environment that might be more meaningful in at least some ways than feedback from casual play. People do things in cut-throat games (at least this side of the pond) that they might gloss over under more laid back circumstances So I am happy to see this come up. Of course, Britcon is out for me!
Best wishes to you BHGS folks.
