Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.5b RELEASED)
I don't think so, at least not for now. I have a huge list of units to add in future updates, we will see.

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.5b RELEASED)
The next immediate update will be 1.5C, another "transitional" one, to be released in the next few days.
The bulk if the new units should come with 1.6, far more in the future.
1.5C will include a few new ones, like the Russian Bastion coastal defense system:

I resized the BAL in order to have some size coherence amongst the rest of the missile systems units.
I also added some new units specifically for the Persian Gulf scenario. Here we can see the USS Saratoga, F-18s and Harriers (also the Nimitz class icon has been reworked):

Kuwait enters the battle (Chieftain tank icon reworked as well):

Some Iraqi entrenched T-62s

I added the Kuwaiti flag to some of the oil fields in order to make them easy to notice against the Iraqi ones:

Best regards,
Akkula.

In 1991, when leaving Kuwait, the Iraqi army set fire to six hundred oil wells.
Columns of smoke and fire hung over the fire sites for eight months, clouds of soot and harmful gases were carried by the winds over long distances.
And where is the capture of Kuwait itself?)

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.5b RELEASED)
This is great mode. But, one thing I don't like is that we can't compare how efficient different anti-aircraft missile systems are before purchasing them.

Actually, you can. If you click that messy square just under unit image on the right (it should double-headed arrow icon in fact) the pop-up window appears with switched unit stats. It can be a little bit glitchy, but works more often than not =)
ps: it works in original PzC aswell since one of the latest official updates.

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.5b RELEASED)
Looks amazing. I didn’t think Kuwait it would ever be included. What is their roster like?
Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.5b RELEASED)
It will be pretty small, at least for now. Historically they had limited forces anyway.
- Infantry
- M113 transport
- M-84AB tank
- Chieftain Mk5 tank
- A-4KU Skyhawak
Also, Saudi Arabia is receiving the Tornado and the F-15

Iraqi Special Forces
The most secret in the GUVR is the special forces "Ku'uat 999". Its fighters undergo a course of personal training (in addition to special disciplines, including the study of a foreign language at the native level), for further throwing into the territory of the enemy state and conducting sabotage and terrorist operations. Many instructors of this special forces in the past were trained under the leadership of the GRU staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
Until 1996, "Ku'uat 999" consisted of 6 battalions (300 soldiers per battalion), and then another one was added to them. Each of them is aimed at completing tasks in its own separate direction. They cover Saudi Arabia and the Gulf principalities, Turkey, Iran, Israel, and Palestine. The 6th battalion specializes in capturing and eliminating Iraqi opposition fighters abroad, and the 7th is responsible for operations against the United States, including on American territory. Q'u'at 999 is managed by Qusay Hussein and overseen by the President himself.
In addition to the special services, Saddam Hussein and his sons Qusay and Uday have several large military formations that are not part of the regular army. The most powerful and efficient of them are:
The Republican Guard ("Al-Haris al-Jamhuri") - RG was established in the late 50s as the military wing of the PASV. In 1963, the guards took an active part in the overthrow of the government of Kerim Kasem and in the battles with the communists. After the PASV came to power in 1968, the RG existed for a long time in the form of carefully hidden cells that represented the party's military reserve in the event of an army coup. Subsequently, Saddam Hussein paid special attention to the personal qualities of the rank and file and the command staff of the RG. Only members of the PASV, representatives of the most reliable Sunni clans who had rich combat experience, could become fighters of this compound. The logistics of the RG has always been considered a higher priority, compared to the army supply.
At the beginning of the Iraq-Iran conflict, there was only one brigade of guards guarding the president. During the war, 6 divisions and several separate units of the RG, numbering 190,000 people, were formed. They were used in the most important sectors of the front. Largely due to the successful operations carried out by the guards, Iran was forced to sign a cease-fire agreement.
During the war of 1991 The RG suffered significantly less than the regular army. Saddam Hussein managed to maintain the combat capability of his elite formations and further use them to suppress the Kurdish and Shiite opposition.
Today, the Guards are the most powerful and capable military force in Iraq. Their number reaches 60,000-80,000 people (6 divisions). Almost all of them distinguished themselves in operations against Iran and Kuwait. The core of the RG consists of 3 armored divisions: "Hammurabi", "Al-Nida" and "Medina" (8,000 fighters each). They are allocated to the strategic reserve and create the first ring of defense around Baghdad. The operational activities of the RG are overseen by the OSB, and personally by Qusay Hussein.
The Special Republican Guard ("Al-Haris al-Jamhuri al-Khas")-the SRG or as it is also called the" Golden Division", was formed towards the end of the Iraq-Iran war. It consists of the most distinguished and proven fighters of the RG. It is the" personal presidential guard " and provides security for Saddam Hussein, as well as all the sites he visits. According to Western intelligence agencies, the SRG is also responsible for the security of non-conventional weapons depots. This unit is equipped with 4 special forces brigades (14 battalions), with a total number of 15,000 people. The SRG is armed with tanks, artillery, and air defense systems. The "Golden Division" is commanded by Qusay Hussein, and operational control is carried out by his own OSB.
