ftp problem with latest compulsory game upgrade

Can't download latest release, get message saying there's an FTP error tried several times, can't play the game at the moment because of it, right at the start of the FOG digital league!

If the issue is that the game launcher won't connect to the server, you can always try downloading directly from this link.

I too am getting a download error - on second attempt the error became
"Error: Update information for Field of Glory II: Medieval could not be downloaded. Please contact Slitherine for help."

I will now go to the link above but I am finding that the update tool seems much less reliable these days.

I've always had to come here for updates, I've never been able to update through the launcher
