A question about the upcoming update with DLC

Post by Dux Limitis »

I wanna ask will this update include the adjust of AI's battle formation?Means make the AI use the more "historical" Medieval battle formation instead of default. The typical battle formation of the High Middle Ages was the army divided into two or more batailles(divisions or battle groups),and cavalry always deployed in front of the infantry at least more common in Western,Central and Southern Europe, the game's Epic Battle scenarios shown you clearly knows that.Even the time past to the Late Middle Ages this still didn't change that much(Philip d'Eu argued with Sigismund about the knightly cavalry's deploy before the Battle of Nicopolis)although the MAA more tend to fight dismount than before. If this adjust or "fix" not included in this update I really hope you have a plan about this in the future,or we can't see the historical battle formations except the Epic Battle scenarios and few multiplayer battles(See someone use the historical battle formations always makes me happy but sadly not that much).

Most of the knightly armies do have a new deployment type in the update.

When the army has a lot of knights, and not too many infantry, it will autodeploy the knights in front. When there are a lot of infantry, it will deploy the infantry in front.

So maybe should make the knightly army's AI more tend to purchase knights and other cavalry units than infantry to use the suitable formation(If this already include in the update then disregard what I said). As now for example,in one of my custom battles, the French AI didn't purchase that much of knights(9 units, they got 4 of them free don't need to purchase at start means they only purchase 5 units of them, and if let the players do they can purchase maximum 17 of them,if they purchase many of them they will really be a force to be reckoned with, and they do can purchase more mounted knights than other nations, that's their main advantage)even out numbered by the low country knights purchase by me(10 feudal+6 city dwelled ones). It's really ridicules.

Sounds reasonable for me.
