Scoring System

Post by Axel »

Hi all
I have just recently purchased this game and I am absolutely loving it,(up playing untill 2.00AM)
My question is how do you work out scoring system for combat? Also what are "Steps" that I have seen mentioned many times on the forums. I have just installed the BJR mod excellent work.
Many thanks for your help in this matter.
Cheers

I'm not clear what you mean about the "scoring system for combat"; but "steps" I am. Every unit (e.g; infantry corps, tactical bomber) has 10-steps when full strength. When they take losses they lose "steps". If they lose 5-steps then they've lost half their strength. If they lose 10-steps then the unit is destroyed. Units that lose steps can be repaired at 60% of the rate it cost to build a new unit; but at 100% of the manpower. For example, a 10-step infantry corps, which cost 35 PPs new, is reduced to 5-steps. It costs 10.5 PPs (on average) and 5 manpower points to repair it back to full strength. Repair PPs = (3.5 PPs/step)*5-steps*0.6 = 10.5.
