Thanks, everyone. I got lucky on map roll in at least three games this season.

Sparabara Foot is a real bargain at 45 points if you compare them with those 42-point Roman Auxilliary mass archers. They get light spears + 50% swordsmen, as well as removing the debuffs of shooting efficiency near enemy and CT - 1 in close combat, for merely 3 points.
480-461BC is the only selection that comes with the Greek allies which give them some hoplites to at least being able to sustain close combat with superior enemies or fight cavalry in the open. They are fun to play as.
