thanks for your comments, I kind of feel this way, now that Im getting close to finish the replay, what can be next after BE??? I feel so complete, but then again there is version 2.2 and the start from Poland.

Also for me there is GC44 and GC 45.
In any case there is always a sense of what to do next after BE

Finally I also plan to create a video of how to install the Mod, so to help new players coming in

You can use the unit icons with the base game, you just need to use the icon graphics from the "...\Battlefield Europe v2.2\Graphics\Units" folder and perhaps create a seperate mod which only uses this folder and name it something else other than "Battlefield Europe v2.2" and place it in the mods folder and then install it with GME in the same way. There is no seperate mod for the BE unit icons. These were made by various people over the years, including me, and I collected and organized them for this mod.

For using the sounds of the mod you also need to add the "AttackSfx", "MoveSfx" and perhaps the "Music" folders from the "\Battlefield Europe v2.2\Audio\" folder (the latter if you also want to replace the stock in-game music with the ambiend battlefield sounds). But in order to make the sounds work you will also need to use the "efx.pzdat" file within the "...\Battlefield Europe v2.2\Graphics\" folder which says the game which unit will use which modified movement and attack sound file. And it may not be fully compatible, some stock units added to the game after my mod may lack movement and attack sounds because the referencies to these may not be in my modified "efx.pzdat" file. It is a bit of a trial and error.

Or you can try the "Real Sound Mod" by VPaulus. The BE mod uses the unit sound mainly from this mod, however, I added a few more. It is here:

Obviously: even more BE!

You can try playing it on Rommel or Field Marshal level. I am playing it on the latter now and it is really challenging! I guess total victory at FM level is no longer possible, but Uhu usually plays on Rommel and gets total victory.

Another option is to load up one of the prepared save games and try your luck starting at the Battle of Kursk or D-day and see what you can achieve if you take control at a later disadvantaged situation. It is really fun!

Then there is multiplayer...

And finally the Hungarian campaign is there as well. But you may want to wait with this for a while as currently I work on an update for that to bring it to BE 2.2 standard when it comes to unit icons and stats.

As for other mods I really enjoyed the mods made by bebro, he made very nice mods for the Japanese and the Soviets. I also really like the "RAW" (Russia at War) mod by Intenso82. I collaborated with intenso quite a lot when he was more active and we helped each others' mods quite a lot with ideas and other stuff. He is also a historical accuracy enthusiast like me. But that's just my personal preference. Then lennis29 is working on "VolksMod" which uses lots of elements of the BE mod and it is basically a rework of the stock campaign with elements added from custom mods. A lot of players also like the mods of nikivdd, phcas and Akkula and others. I think it is best if you try them all and then you can decide which ones you like. Luckily, there is a massive selection of mods for this game.
