Hi guys,
Just wanted to know why I scored less than the enemy routed % for my recent game at the end of round 2? It was a close fought game that timed out in my opponents turn 17 (I think), with us both around 50% routed. But I've got a lot less points than him from the match on the scoreboard. Why is this?

If the timed out player does not play 24 turns, his score is reduced accordingly. (This is new in this tournament, in previous FOG2 Ancients tournaments it was 12 turns, so happened less often.)
Thus, if you played 16 turns, your score would be multiplied by 16/24.

Hi,
The game timed out on my opponents turn; I don't think either of us ever took more than a day to get a turn in. Why has my score decreased and his increased? How is that determined?

It doesn't make any difference whose turn the game times out on. The player who is "Timed Out" is the one who had the game in his In-Tray for a greater amount of time during the whole course of the game, if the game isn't finished by the time limit.TheKenwyne wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 9:50 am Hi,

If the number of turns for a full score (in this tournament the full 24 turns each) has not been reached at the time limit:
The Timed Out player's score is reduced as explained in my previous post.
The other player should get 75 points if that is more than his actual score.
So the only thing that is a bit odd is that his score was 69 and not 75. I will investigate.

Thanks for the clarification. It feels a little brutal, but I guess that's how it goes. I'm just miffed we didn't get the chance to conclude what was such a close fight, and losing points felt like an additional kick in the teeth.rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 3:00 pmIt doesn't make any difference whose turn the game times out on.
