Forming a new unit from captured/experimental equipment

This has been bugging me for a long time and so far I was not able to figure it out.
Anyway, is there a way to form a unit if you have less then 10 available planes/tanks/artillery pieces etc.?
For example, I was given eight experimental me 262 jet fighters in latest 1941 expansion and was unable to use them because game won't let me form a new unit from them nor can I use them to upgrade existing unit.

No there is no way to field a 5 strength unit, unless set up in the editor by the scenario designer.

The me262 is not a fieldable unit.
It is a Token to transfer special Commendation Points from one DLC to the next.
