About the troop numbers, I´m quite sure it´s a bug, look, there´s more effective shots that crossbowmen in the unit!

The cause of the bug is that the LH_Xbow have 1000 (instead of 100) in column AP (Crossbows) of the Squads.csv, therefore they are shooting at 10 times the correct rate!

Exactly, just found that out myself. Releasing 1.22 as a quick fix - available from the main download link in the first post.

Unpack into:

Documents -> My games -> FieldOfGloryMedieval -> CAMPAIGNS

That's at least where I have it, on windows.

Hello Everyone,

Short announcement: As the first DLC for FOG:M was released, we are now working on making our mod compatible with the DLC.

Please note that the DLC includes some of the same armies were made available through our mod: Italian and Sicilian Armies for instance. Because of that we will remove the Italian, Italo-Norman and North African armies from our mod (and just leave in the vanilla DLC armies), because we feel it would be wrong for us to undermine the developer in this fashion.

The one Sicilian armylist that will remain in the mod is the Sicilian Moslem states 1044 - 1086. The reconquista DLC doesn't have any equivalent to that, so we will keep ours in.

Stay tuned, we hope to release the "post-reconquista-DLC" version of our mod soon. We are also planning to look into revising the current Polish, Bulgarian and Serbian armies, as well as adding a Wendish army.

Awesome work, guys! Everything looks great.

A couple comments/bugs/mistakes:

1.) In the future could you guys use Mediafire as your donwload site? That Sharemods site is tricky to navigate and tries very hard to get you to install sketchy softtware.

2.) There appears to be a bug with the Byzantine (Trebizond) 1205-1261 AD faction. If you choose them in Custom Battles the game will skip the force selection process and loads right into the battle with the units already chosen and placed on the map.

3.) Crusader 118-1154 AD are missing their description text. MISSING_IDS_ARMY_INTRO_M_CRUSADER

4.) Qara Khitan 1132-1238 AD are missing their description text MISSING_IDS_ARMY_INTRO_QARAKHITAN

5.) Wendish Slavic tribes 1000-1168 AD ("tribes" is in lower case) and missing their description text. MISSING_IDS_ARMY_INTRO_WENDS

Thanks for helping us locate the bugs, much appreciated! :D


Let me address the points in the same numerical order.

1. Thanks for letting us know about sharemods. I just went to the DL and all I got was the direct download link with no prompts for any software/malware/adware installation:

However, I realize that doesn't mean this will be the case for everyone, admittedly I'm running an AdblockPlus under firefox, so I don't experience some of the ads and popups on various sites, I guess this might be the same for sharemods. I can add a second link for mediafire. Normally, we used to have more annoying popups from mediafire than from sharemods (such as world of tanks ads opening in a new window etc).

2. Ok, I found what was wrong with the Trebizond armylist and fixed it. For a quick bugfix, please download this armylist file and replace the one in your mod directory:

3-5. We are aware of that, there are also a few units with missing descriptions as well. We do plan to have all of this sorted out, but these are the lowest priority for us at this time. Once we have all the armylists polished, we will go back and fill out all missing text strings.

The only time I've ever gotten pop ups on Mediafire is after I click the DL button but thanks, I see that you added a second link. It's always seemed more straight forward to me. Appreciate it.

Yeah, I am a dummy. I remember you guy's having mentioned the descriptions hadn't been filled in. I'd forgotten between the first release and the update.

We are a bit slow recently with the updates and unfortunately you should not expect much from us for the coming week. We both have it real busy in our professional lives and plan to spend this and next weekends away in the countryside without internet.

But we will have much more time from June 21st on. Expect an update somewhere in the week of 21-27 June.

We working on the next update, we should be done either today by EOD, or early next week (we are out of the city for the weekend again). Upcoming features:

- New English armylists for the 2nd baron's war (Royalist and Rebel).
- Updated texture for late average defensive protected spearmen. We found the vanilla graphics too similar to those of late raw defensive protected spearmen. So the "average" guys will get a slightly darker, more brownish garbs. The change is subtle, but it should allow you to differentiate between the average and raw units at a glance.
- A small graphical fix for an issue with the banners, a graphical update for the "average.
- Implementing more SmickeyMcgee graphics (For Turcopoles and Knights).
