Division A
klayeckles (Irish + Anglo-Irish allies) DRAW against Nosy Rat (Hungarian) 49-41
This was a crazy one! Initially the Irish looking over the barren landscape in the center of the battlefield saw nothing but hordes of bow armed inf and cav. The irish...essentially naked with no armor on most of their army set up in a good sized forest then sent a peace treaty request to the hungarians. they got no reply. so they offered another treaty...this time even offering one of St cuthbert's toenails as a tribute. The hungarians laughed and proceeded to surround the woods and launch missiles with unrelenting fury into the tightly packed irish army. when the irish saw they had no choice, they sprung open the back door and launched a large cavalry wing that swung out and engaged one arm of the surprized hungarians. this also gave the naked axemen in the woods some room to manouver. the hungarians, well ahead on the scoreboard--and thinking victory was theirs to grab, boldly launched their infantry and skirmishers into the woods only to find the irish were more numerous and hungry for revenge. the hungarian infantry was quicky dispatched then the irish leaped out of the woods to the aid of their hard pressed cavalry. soon the irish were threatening to swing the spindle of fate in their favor...the hungarian cav wing crumbled faster than the exhausted irish cav. the Hungarians abandoned their assualt on the other side of the wood and attempted to aid their faltering cav, but they were too late and harried by the irish kerns. with night falling it was looking like the irish might pull out a victory, but the hungarians found their rally whistle to calm some of the routers then swallowed their pride and disengaged with their remaining troops.

Darkwater247 - Bosporan 11 BC-375 AD with Roman 24 BC–196 AD allies v Stormcrow - Frankish 260-495AD with Germanic Foot Tribe 260-599 AD allies Final Score Bosporans 30% - Franks 9%
Night fall stalls the battle. The Franks retreated to there board edge, nestled between two forrests, I was nervous about funneling my cav into the narrow clearing and waited too long before commiting.

Division D
Blagrot - Andalusian 756-1049 AD beat Rob123 - Arab Conquest 638-684 AD 60% - 36%
The arabs broke through on my left and slaughtered my cavalry on the right but that took long enough for me to shatter the Arabic centre, my light cav and massed archers hiding in rough terrain stopped his cavalry from rejoining the fight quickly and the final push was provided by 3 units of light archers ganging up on a disrupted massed archer unit and breaking it. Thanks for a clever game

Division C
Karvon - Scots 851-1051 AD with Viking 790-899 AD allies defeated kraff - Polish 966-1057 AD with Rus 960-1053 AD allies 53-17 for a 4-0 win.
The field was broken up by a large number of woods and rough ground. We deployed a mass of heavy spears led by our huscarls in and behind a large woods on our left supported by medium spears on each flank. Our small number of LF we used to screen the spears. We threw out a couple of light horse to scout out the enemy deployment and threaten flanks. The Poles deployed in about the middle of the field, which placed them a bit off to the right of our position. Their front rank was a mix of spearmen and dismounted cavalry supported by a second rank of massed bowmen. A number of cavalry, a mix of horse archers and light spear formed up on their left. Our plan was to let the Poles advance a little and then push our spears out of the woods and wheel on to their right flank using the scattered woods and rough to shield our own left. The terrain would limit the ability of their horse to flank us too quickly and, hopefully, our better quality foot could get stuck in and overpower their foot.
The Poles obliged by advancing forward with their horse pushing faster to probe the edges of the woods and neighboring village for our troops. Our spears surged out of the woods and wheeled to face his right. The Poles refused their right and began shifting to face us. Their horse skirmished and probed a bit further on my right but were checked by medium spears and light foot.
Our spears stuck in and began enveloping his right. Some of our medium foot on our right drove off his horse and got stuck into his bowmen. Then the Poles unleashed a reserve of cavalry they'd hidden in the woods on their right, threatening the left of my enveloping line. Fortunately, I had a number of unengaged spears supporting the line and was able to wheel them to block this threat. My spears were steadily grinding down his turned right though.
The Poles regrouped their left wing horse and began flanking my now overexposed right. Their horse on their right pressed in attempting to relieve pressure on their infantry. I lost one spear, but the others formed a loose line to contain them and I brought back my light foot and trapped one horse against my spears. The Polish horse on my right finally broke my blocking unit and in pursuit disrupted a neighboring spear, but my successful envelopment of his right plus my engaging of his bowmen with spears on my left proved too much and his army folded before his horse could do more damage.
The final scene.
