It is beginning to look like it is going to be another championship triumph for this section's top player over the past few seasons. Nosy_Rat (GHaznavid) now has 4 straight wins and sits in third place 5 points behind harveylh (Ummayyad) with 3 games in hand. Both players should comfortably overtake Geffalrus's (Byzantine) modest target of 22 points. In Division B mr cholo (Dailami) maintained his good form with a fifth victory, which puts him 2 points ahead of DzonVejn (Serbian) with a game in hand. Stew101 (Polish) has also started to climb the table with 2 wins and a narrow defeat from his 3 matches. Division C was decided last week and now the focus is on the relegation battle where 4 players have no points at all and a fifth player has just a solitary point. In Division D General Shapur (Anglo-Danish) suffered his first defeat this season at the hands of his closest pursuer Garokan (Spanish) to leave Garokan 6 points behind with 2 games in hand. Blagrot (Andalusian) and snooky51 (Norman) could still get into the mix as they both have a number of matches in hand. BobGanoush (Fatimid) is the new leader in Division E but MadMaxBot (Byzatine) is in close attendance, just 2 points behind with a match in hand. Morat (Georgian) is back in fourth but victories against both BobGanoush and MadMaxBot would give him every chance of gaining automatic promotion. Delbruck (Byzantine) posted a seventh win this week to extend his lead in Division F and his only remaining challenger, who he still has to play, is Malabar26 (Indian Rajput) who has won all 3 of his matches so far. At the bottom Sgt0gre (Ghaznavid) is this season's wooden spoonist in this section after wellsonian (Spanish) recorded his first victory of the season.

Weekly round-up
With everyone beating everyone else, it now looks a formality for unbeaten pantherboy (Achaemenid) to take the championship this season. SLancaster (Egyptian) is now in the relegation position after ruskicanuk (Phoenician) recorded his first victories this week. A big win for ahuyton (Egyptian) against fellow struggler IMC (Thracian) has seen him move off the bottom of Division B. IMC must win the return match with ahuyton to have any chance of avoiding relegation. tmac11 (Egyptian) has finished strongly in Division C with 2 victories against batesmotel (Thracian) leaving SpeedyCM (Median) with a target of 5 points from 2 matches against deeter (Babylonian) to win automatic promotion. deeter, who is currently bottom, can still win automatic promotion if he scores maximum points from his last 6 matches! In Division D a strong challenge has emerged from toska (Lydian), who now has 5 wins from6 starts. He now trails current leader random27 (Median) by 8 points with 2 games in hand. sarmation (Saka) is emerging as the favourite for promotion in Division E after extending his unbeaten run to 4 matches, including a win and a draw against current leader SawyerK (Lydian), who has posted a modest target of 23 points. Division F was more or less completed last week although Delbruck (Cypriot) took third place this week, extending his unbeaten run to 6 matches.

Division B

Aetius39 (Pyrrhic) defeats DzonVejn (Skythian) 47-22

It's always tough for a mainly infantry army to fight an arrow-cavalry army, but the Pyrrhic army tried there best and came out on top. They were helped by maxing out their cavalry and attempting to not let the Skythian cavalry group together where they could do damage. But damage they did, just not enough thankfully for the Pyrrhics. GG DzonVejn, all our games are fun and close!^^

Weekly round-up
It looks to be a 2-horse race now in Division A where harveylh (German) registered a sixth straight win and Snugglebunnies (Polish) increased his winning sequence to 3 matches. Everyone else seems to be struggling for some consistency with the new armies. Division B has continued at a furious pace with oscarius (Scots Isles) has posted a tough target of 28 points from his 9 matches. So ericdoman1 (Mongol) needs 7 points from his last 2 matches against Challenge1 (German) and Triarii (Teutonic) to win automatic promotion. Sennacherib (Lithuanian) and Geffalrus (German) have also finished their matches and will definitely finish in the top 4. In Division C tyronec (German) is maintaining his good form to lead the table by 7 points from desertedfox (Russian), but the main dangers are further back with Jagger2002 (Bohemian) having won all 4 matches so far and Questar17 (Scots) who has 3 wins and a draw from 5 starts. Captainwaltersavage (Bohemian) seemed to be coasting to promotion in Division after close challenger olin0111 (Russian) hit a brick wall with 3 consecutive defeats. However, defeats in his last 2 matches to bottom-placed Garokan (Polish) and SpeedyCM (Mongol) means that SpeedyCM can still snatch automatic promotion from him by gaining maximum points from his remaining 5 matches. Nothing to report from a very slow Division E, but in Division F CyberHetman (Polish) posted a seventh win to open up a 4 point leader over Marvin_the_Arvn (Danish) who has a game in hand. Kroche (Irish) remains unbeaten in 4 matches

Division B

Quite an easy game really, HA. I had built up a reasonable lead and then Iain had 4 units rally from rout and that changed everything. His lead grew into double figures and I thought it was the end, especially as 2 of my trebuchet kept rolling 0 damage (the odds for this is very very big). In the penultimate turn, one of my Mongol horse archers had pursued into massed archers and disrupted them, one trebuchet rolled 0 (again), the other 17 which auto broke a spear block, a light foot unit nearby fragged, I charged in with a best equipped cav, LF broke, cav pursued into massed archers and combo of both cav routed them. A LH of mine charged a disrupted spear block and fragged it and a cav unit charged it and it routed. That made it 61 -58 and luckily for me Iain only rallied one of the fragged units. Wow frustrating but a tough game.

Tough, swirling battle that was close for much of the play with the Huns gaining the breaks in the final turns.

harvey's probing attack across the valley between our armies was repulsed, and then we skirmished for awhile. Both armies then judged the other's position to be too strong to attack.

Morat (Poles/Germans) beat Supervark (Anglo-Irish) 59-33.

Tough infantry battle in the centre, but the Polish cavalry helped see the day through.

Thanks for the game. The Lithuanians were helped by a hill with patches of rough to set up and score some concentrated bow fire on the huscarls and spearmen whilst the Norwegian knights were kept busy by the cavalry.
