Cylon Boarding

Hello recently I let a cylon boarding group capture one of my minotaurs to see what would happen.
What I was expecting was the cylons to take over control of this ship and turn her weapons on my fleet much like how Sol Tigh says he "has seen this tactic before" in S02E02 "Valley of Darkness". Instead the ships just simply blow up.

Is there anyway to make the capturing of one of our ships more.. interesting ?

Hey fisher2000!

We tested a few variations on effects of boarding parties during development, and found that the destruction of the ship via its CIC was the best option for both balancing and conveying the game mechanics.

I'd certainly like to go back at some stage and have a look at more subversive effects for boarding. I'm not making any promises, but just saying that it's on my wishlist too. :)

I know this is an older post but I have an idea for your consideration in regards to ship boarding parties. If your interested.

In the newer T.V show season 1or 2 (I cant remember off hand) when the heavy raider crashed on the galactica, Col Tie spoke about what the cylons did durring the war when boarding ships. that they would would go directly to engineering to take control and vent the ships atmosphere to kill the crew then advance to the CIC to clean house.

likewise it would make sense that if the colonials are successful at boarding a ship that they would take control of it and after the battle see what intelligence they could gather from it before destroying it.

Would it be possible to have these implemented into this awesome game?
