Division 1 Regular

rbodleyscott (Carthaginian, Hannibal in Italy 218 BC) defeated deeter (Ancient Britons) 60 vs 54.

deeter thought he "had me this time". So did I, till right at the end, but the elephants pulled it out of the bag. Good game, thanks deeter.

Sadly, after the battle, all my elephants died of the cold and damp.

Deeter (Romans) defeats Delbruck (Gallic) 62-57.

After some initial standing, the Gauls mounted a fierce charge that mangled the Latin line, but Roman discipline carried the day. A scary defeat narrowly averted.

Stew101 ( Illyrians ) beat SSB ( Pyrrhic ), score 47 -17.

Thanks to SSB and all my other opponents for some enjoyable games.
That concludes my games for Chaos V.

My thanks to Karvon for running this excellent tournament, I've really enjoyed the unique challenges posed by the format.

Count me in for next time.

Good luck to everyone playing in the DL, regards Stew.

Division 1 Mirror

Blagrot (Phyrric) beat Deeter (Franks) 45% - 20%

I tried a foot force and died, Deeter tried a cav-based force and died slower but either way this was not a good day for the franks.

Blagrot (macedonian) beat Random27 (Pyrrhic) 63% - 55%

So many wierd RNG results this battle, so, so many rallies, fragmented archers surviving a lancer charge, in the end I managed to keep enough of of the Pyrrhics trapped on bad terrain or unable to catch my rallied units that I won.

Standings for the Regular Divisions

A number of folks have finished their matches, but a few games are still unreported/underway. Div 1 medal winners are locked in at this point but the Div 2 bronze is still undecided.

Mirror Divisions update

Some folks have finished and some still have a few games left to report. Some of the medal placings are wrapped up and a few are still up for grabs at this point.

Regular Division 2

GeneralKostas (Roman 105-25 BC) defeated SSB (Bulgar 631-679 AD) 60-41

My last game in the Chaos Tourney. The Chaos Tourney is a good chance to test various armies in the battlefield. A brilliant idea from Karvon.

Why aren't the numbers in the first column (R) sequence in Division 1?

Is it an oversight, or if not, what does R mean?

Ah, I inadvertently included the Ranking (R) column when I did the last sorting update and so they got moved around with those who switched positions.

I'll fix and update it.

Will you be adding Medieval armies to the dice roll next season?

That's a good question; I've heard mixed reviews on the timewarp battles thus far. My initial impression is folks feel HM armies are significantly better. I've not set up any such games myself, so no first hand experience as of yet.

Huh, I've found it balanced so far; or at least, no less balanced then any other Chaos Tourney silliness!
