Weekly round-up
There are still 4 players in with a chance of winning the championship in this section. Geffalrus (Byzantine) still leads by 5 points, but he will need to win his last match against XLegione (Frankish) to set a reasonable target for the others to chase. harveylh (Ummayyad) has 4 wins from 5 starts and Nosy_Rat has started with 3 straight wins. Also still in the chase is LuciusSulla (Viking) who has 3 wins and a draw from his first 5 matches. Not much to report from Division B this week, but in Division C MorkinTheFree (Scots-Irish) has completed a blistering whitewash to win automatic promotion ahead of tyronec (Ummayyad) who has 6 wins from 7 starts. There is still plenty to play for in the division where 6 players still need points to move away from the relegation zone. General Shapur (Anglo-Danish) is playing very confidently in Division D and has secured his fifth successive win this season to lead Garokan (Spanish) by 2 points. Blagrot (Andalusian) has also started well with 3 wins from 4 matches. Division E is building up into an exciting contest with MadMaxBot (Byzantine) the new leader, just ahead of BobGanoush (Fatimid) and Morat (Georgian). Spacemonkey76's challenge faltered this week after suffering 2 defeats. And in Division F another win for Delbruck (Byzantine) has consolidated his position at the top of the table. His main challenger now looks to be Malabar26 (Rajput) after second-placed telesien (Anglo-Danish) suffered 2 defeats this week.

Aetius39 (Assyrian) is the new leader in Division A with 4 wins from 6 starts. His main challengers are likely to be pantherboy (Achaemenid) who has started with 2 wins and reserve ruskicanuk (Phoenician) who has yet to post a result. Plenty of action in Division B where DzonVejn (Median) is the leader after completing his matches. His stay at the top is likely to be a short one as lydianed (Egyptian), BishUK (Achaemenid) and kraff (Skythian) all have a number of games in hand. A very close struggle is developing in Division C where 3 wins for tmac11 (Egyptian) has put him on top of the table just ahead of Rob123 (Achaemenid) and SpeedyCM (Median). random27 (Median) is romping away with Division D with 6 wins from 7 starts and looks increasingly unlikely to be caught. SawyerK (Lydian) increased his lead in Division E with his fifth win this week leaving pursuers Geoffrey.P.Smith (Egyptian) and sarmation (Saka) with a difficult task to catch him now. Division F is nearly complete now with dim30 (Thracian) having won promotion last week. A seventh defeat for imatson2527 (Kushite) means he will get the wooden spoon for this section this season.

Weekly round-up
harveylh's (German) strange whack-a-mole ceremony seems to have ended in Division A now and there were wins for Nosy_Rat (Hungarian) and Snugglebunnies (Polish) this week. There is a cracking contest in Division B where ericdoman1 (Mongol) narrowly leads from oscarius (Scots Isles), Sennacherib (Lithuanian) and Geffalrus (German) with all of them having just 2 matches left. In Division C Questar17 (Scots) and Jagger2002 (Bohemian) moved closer to leader desertedfox (Russian) after posting their third wins apiece. Captainwaltersavage (Bohemian) has blasted his way to the top of Division D with 6 straight wins, while his closest challenger olin0111 suffered his first defeat this week. Nothing to report from Division E while in division F 3 players are stating to pull away from the rest. Marvin_the_Arvn (Danish) currently leads from CyberHetman (Polish) and the unbeaten Kroche (Irish). Brenmusik (Scots) also won his first match of the season.

Division E

wellsonian (Carthaginian, Hannibal in Africa, 202 BC) beat gamercb (Greek 227-146 BC with Roman 280-220 BC allies) 60-55.

As the score suggests, a very close game that could have gone either way. Given the huge amount of rough terrain, we both maxed out our medium troops. The rough terrain plateau was closer to my side, so I was able to defend up hill. The battle between heavy troops was won handily by gamercb, while I took the medium battle. It was barely enough.

phlewis (Arab with Andalusian allies) draws with wellsonian (Spanish with Andalusian allies) 65-61.

A back and forth heart stopping affair. The majority of the credit goes to phlewis for mounting an impressive and tenacious comeback. I only (and barely) crossed the 60% threshold by breaking a light unit on the last turn. Well played and fun game.
