MP game reliable opponents wanted!!

Hi all,

I have seven MP games ongoing and in all of them the idle players are growing at an alarming rate, I have witnessed all kinds of disappearances so far, from players that never play a single turn (sic!) to players that join several games (playing almost every time the same nation) and left the party after something gone wrong even if he is playing Rome!

Do you know any place where to find reliable players for a private game?

Discord incorporated has 96 registered players. How much spam do they receive, I wonder.

Would that we could do everything through open source, not for profit platforms but alas.

These kind of chat/messenger/VoIP applications tend to come and go, but in the mean time Discord is pretty much the standard right now.

There are over 400 players in the Field of Glory server so not a bad place to look for a game.

We have a small group (four) of MP players and no one quits or misses turns. It is a friendly game. If you are interested in joining I will let you know when we are ready to start a new game.

I only played MP Napoleonic and AGEOD but, unfortunately, am now in a care home. My desktop is in my house awaiting sale . I only have my old HP laptop which, I think, would be unsatisfactory.

My son is waiting to come over from KL to assist in clearing up things.

Ess1, tell someone you need your desktop. I am sure someone, your son, would be willing to pick it up and bring the desktop to your care home. It is important.

Thanks for quick msg. Unfortunately my in, in Kuala Lumper is still awaiting permission to leave. His application has been in relevant office, amongst many, awaiting action. Office is closed due to pandemic!!! He and his wife are frustrated

I am suffering from government regulations as well. Both of my daughters moved to the U.S. from Canada to work. Because the border is closed, my wife and I have not been able to see them or our grandchildren for 14 months now. My wife has since developed health issues so that now I am her primary care giver. Stay strong Ess1 and do what you need to do for your family.

A friend of mine suggested that a charity might be able to help you. Ask around. I am sure someone would bring your desktop over!

Also, maybe your son can find a cheapish new laptop that will run your games. Maybe someone else has some good ideas!

Thanks for your taking the time to advise me. Unfortunately, with the pandemic etc., this is not possible.
There are many much worse off than my wife and I. One good thing is that time have brought out the best in many.
