Is the tournament working correctly?
I started my game off on Monday morning and as yet have had no reply form my opponent (mordante). More worryingly when I look on the enemy turns tab, both his games are there but the timer clock is showing 0 time remaining. I also noticed he'd completed both his games in the Macedon tournament which also started on Monday, so he's not a slow player, this seems odd.

The tournament is working.
Your games with mordante seem to be correct in the database. I guess he is perhaps AFK for a couple of days?

Thanks for looking into it Richard, maybe he wanted to finish the rise of Macedon game before starting mine. Only time will tell. Are the game timer clocks at 0 because he hasn't picked up the games yet then?

Both my games still show zero time as well (including the one we have completed). The timer didn't start when we picked up the games.

I also noticed the timer on the challenges I got is at zero. So I wonder if other folks also aren't having the timer count down display in the game for the tournament challenges working. But it appears to just be the count down display and doesn't appear to effect the playing of the challenges as far as I can tell.

The timer seems to be a relic of an older system of dealing with Time Outs. I don't think it has any relevance with the current timeout rules.
In the current system (which has actually applied for the last few years) the server records the total time that each player has had the game in their in-tray during the round, and if the game times out, the player who had it in his in-tray longest is deemed to have Timed Out for scoring purposes.
I will see about having the display removed from the client in a future update. Or even better for it to display the current figures for both players for sitting in in-tray.
