Medieval update problem
Am trying to download the update for Medieval hoping it will solve the Kalka River problem but keep getting error messages while "trying to open an FTP file." Will restart computer and try again. Have turned off VPN but that didn't help.

Re: Medieval update problem
• Bug Fixes:
----o Fixed bug that allowed Player B in MP custom battles to move troops on first turn if he hit Cancel when the game asked if you wanted to end the turn and upload to the server.
----o Fix bug that messed up the MP Kalka River epic battle scenario.
----o Fixed bug that could cause duplicate general names in campaign battle if general’s unit dismounted before additional general added.
----o Fixed bug that prevented geographical filter from working correctly in Sandbox Campaigns if player side was set as Pot Luck and enemy side was specified.
----o Corrected some minor discrepancies in French and German translations.
----o Added correct tooltips to Minimap options in Settings screen.
Full details of the other features of the update will be posted tomorrow.

Re: Medieval update problem
Hello; I won’t bother to spam w/ another thread, but after installing the update I, perhaps densely, can not seem to get the time warp to work correctly, or as I think it should.
I select Macedonians as my side, intending to take Mongols as the opposing side (or vice versa). Whether I choose my side or the opposing side first, using the Time Warp = I get nothing but historically appropriate battle possibilities and can not make my intended choice. Please tell me I am doing something wrong or missing something obvious.
Thank you for the patch. I haven’t encountered any bugs at all in 3 weeks of play.

You need to turn off the Date filter (and probably also the Geographical filter) in the Enemy Army List selection panel.tdavie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:26 pm Hello; I won’t bother to spam w/ another thread, but after installing the update I, perhaps densely, can not seem to get the time warp to work correctly, or as I think it should.

I appreciate this sounds like an unnecessary step when the whole purpose of the Time Warp module is to allow anachronistic matchups, but it uses the same UI and code as the normal Custom Battles modules, hence works in exactly the same way.

• Time Warp:
----o New “Time Warp” modules allow custom battles to be fought between Ancient armies and Medieval armies (or vice versa) in FOG2: Medieval.
----o There are two modules:
-------- SP Custom Battles – this is selected by clicking on the “Select another module” button in the Custom Battle setup screen.
-------- MP Custom Battles - this is selected by clicking on the “Select another module” button in the MP Custom Battle (Skirmish) setup screen.
----o To set up an anachronistic matchup you will need to turn off the Date and probably Geographical filters in the Enemy Army List selection panel.
----o You cannot fight Ancient vs Ancient armies in FOG2: Medieval.

Re: Medieval update problem
Thanks for your quick reply. Solution is as you describe. I had to reboot a. Windows 10 Prolaptop before the filter buttons (tabs?) showed up; they do now and I am happily testing Romans v Walsh bowman
